What to expect

The restaurant uses a 270° surround view and a 360° panoramic sound field as its technological foundation, allowing diners to "travel through" China's mountains and rivers at the table. The misty rain of Jiangnan unfolds across the tabletop with the dishes, the green waves of the Li River seem to flow between cups, and the Yellow River waterfall seems to pour down from all around. Virtual panda chef "Cheng Baobao" connects the entire process, leading diners to embark on a flavor tour of seven major regions, with each dish being a microcosm of regional culture.
One second you are in the century-old old city government, and the next second you are instantly moved to the futuristic picture of the Bund with sparkling waves. The 270° surround giant projection directly moves the beauty of China to the side of the plate. At TOC, you are not just dining on the Bund, but also on a "five-sense trip" that spans east, west, north, and south, traveling 90,000 miles a day while sitting still.
In addition to taste, multi-dimensional experiences progress layer by layer: tea artists match exclusive tea drinks for each dish, and during meals, performances such as water sleeve dances, Sichuan opera face changing, and Shaolin Kung Fu are staged in turn, and interactive desktop games allow you to experience virtual fishing and ink painting calligraphy. Hundreds of sets of rigorously researched Hanfu and ethnic costumes are available for selection, and professional makeup allows diners to transform into "people in the painting", echoing the light and shadow.
