What to expect

🚗 Meeting Time and Location
- Pick-up point: Pick-up and drop-off are available around Lijiang Old Town and near Shuhe Ancient Town. For locations around the Old Town where vehicles cannot stop or enter, please proceed to the designated location specified by the driver for boarding. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
- The driver will contact you between 20:00 and 22:00 the day before departure to inform you of the specific departure time and address.

- ⛰️ Jinsha River Viewing Platform The Jinsha River Viewing Platform is mostly located at a high altitude, offering a 360-degree panoramic view. Visitors can overlook the magnificent view of the Jinsha River winding through the mountains, with the river’s meandering curves and the mountains’ continuous undulation fully visible.
- 🌊 Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge Here, the Jinsha River flows extremely fast, and the river is divided into two by the huge “Tiger Leaping Stone” in the center of the river, forming a spectacular scene of turbulent waves and water colliding with rocks. The splashing waves, like a roaring tiger, are deafening, allowing visitors to feel the immense power of nature.
- 🏡 HALF WAY Guesthouse HALF WAY Guesthouse is located on the Tiger Leaping Gorge hiking route in Yunnan and is a popular rest stop for hiking enthusiasts. The guesthouse has a famous “Shuang Si Ni Balcony” (Die for You Balcony), from which you can have a panoramic view of the Yulong Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, and the steep Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The driver was very kind and the explanations were quite informative. The trekking course may feel difficult, but the experience combined with the natural scenery was very meaningful. I thought it would be a simple lunch, but there was quite enough with bread and fruit.
My phone time wasn't adjusted, so I was about 40 minutes late for the morning departure, but thanks to the cooperation of the driver and the travelers, I arrived safely at Tiger Leaping Gorge. I listened to explanations at each spot with the guide's guidance and had free time. I bought a round-trip escalator ticket (70 yuan) and spent about an hour comfortably before returning by car. The meal was so-so... It felt like I had a comfortable trip.
The overall experience was good and the gorge is beautiful and a must visit. the only flip side was that the driver was the guide and he mentioned all the information only in Chinese and therefore we had difficulty in understanding most of the things.
The driver also acts as a hiking guide and is very responsible for the tourists in the group. They are well-organized and often call to confirm the location of group members.
Ideal if you don't have time to spend 2 days hiking in this magnificent area. We go down to see the most impressive spot, and it's really great.

Both the team leader and the driver were great, and although the course was a bit rough, it was really fun and beautiful haha.
