Electric Hydrofoil Experience

Step aboard Kermadec —a fully electric, emissions-free hydrofoiling ferry—from Viaduct Harbour Marina. The ride is premium and intimate, with room for just six guests. After a short tech-briefing, the vessel will accelerate to ~25 knots; at a certain speed it lifts above the water on hydrofoils, giving you a smooth glide free of wakes. Along the ~40-minute journey, enjoy panoramic views of Auckland’s skyline and Harbour Bridge, and listen to commentary about the hydrofoil technology and local maritime environment. The vessel is eco-friendly, using approved safe batteries and designed to minimise environmental impact. The experience includes scheduled departures, and there’s also the option to charter the ferry privately.
