What to expect

Centered around interactive art that transforms prayers and wishes for peace into light, the autumn nights of Himeji Castle will be adorned with artworks and art spaces. We offer many experiences where participants themselves become part of the artwork, such as "Whispering Forest," where visitors spread light with actions like blowing on fluff, and the "DANDELION PROJECT," where "peace flowers" co-created with elementary school students in Himeji City envelop the castle. Furthermore, you can enjoy a variety of productions that weave together historical scenery and contemporary art, such as video mapping on the stone walls, a fantastic cafe lounge using Japanese umbrellas, and a pillar of prayer light extending into the night sky.

■Experience Peace Art Co-created with Elementary School Students in Himeji

A "DANDELION" art object will be installed in the Sannomaru Square of Himeji Castle, where you can see the main keep towering in the sky directly in front of you. The "DANDELION PROJECT" is an interactive art experience in which peace flowers bloom through projection mapping when participants blow on the "DANDELION." This time, the peace flowers that spread through this projection mapping will be co-created with elementary school students in Himeji City. NAKED will create a projection mapping of "peace flowers" drawn by elementary school students in Himeji City.
