What to expect
Start your adventure with a 25-minute transfer from Queenstown to historic Arrowtown, where you’ll be fitted with a bike or E-bike, helmet, winery map, and given a detailed briefing. Ride at your own pace along wide, gravel-based, gently undulating trails that follow the Arrow River, cross the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, and lead into the Gibbston Valley. Take in alpine scenery, river gorges, and vineyard views while stopping at cellar doors, a brewery, cheesery, or riverside picnic spot. The ride covers 15–25 km depending on how far you venture, offering flexibility to enjoy tastings, a relaxed lunch, or simply the scenery. At 4:30 pm, the return shuttle collects you from your chosen winery for the trip back to Queenstown.
