Osaka: Castle Tower Admission / Guided Walking Tour

Oh wow what a beautiful tour!! we learned so much and kept say OH wow. haha. I would totally recommend this to anyone visiting Osaka for the first time. Mayumi Terayama took amazing care of us and was such a kind heart. she was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating :)

A fantastic tour! The tour guide, Yuta, was fun and very knowledgeable about Osaka Castle and its history, providing a great experience for myself and the others in the group. He expertly explained the history, added fun tidbits, and showed that he really enjoys the work he does. Being able to skip the lines was a great bonuses especially in the busy period of March. Good tour length, great guide in Yuta, definitely recommend.

Great tour of the castle grounds and castle. Mayumi Terayama was our guide and she was excellent. She gave us a history of Japan prior to entering the grounds and then the history of the castle itself. As we were the only ones on the tour she tailored it to what we were interested in. I would definitely recommend!

Our guide Liu is really great. She knows so much about Osaka Castle history and could provide us with plenty of details. She speaks English very well so no problem to understand! She does all she can to give you a nice time and lots of history! Highly recommended if you are visiting Osaka Castle!

It was a great experience walking around and within Osaka Castle, with our guide Ryan. He told us the story of the Castle while giving us tips about Japan culture. It was raining a lot when we visited but he chose a path with some covered spots to discuss and showed us the secret spot for pictures. We could cut line thanks to him. At the end of the visit, he also gave good advice about where to taste the best food Osaka has to offer. We recommend!

This was amazing. We had a small group of 6 with our local guide Kaz. She was so energetic and shared loads of information. The tour stops right at the entrance of the castle which is basically a museum inside but by then Kaz had explained everything. The tour is mostly outside so be sure to be prepared for the weather (water and sun protection in our case).

The tour was simply wonderful! Our guide was Liu, and she was very engaging and energetic in telling us about the castle's history. It was very interesting and comfortable! Our group had 5 people, which allowed for easy conversation and a pleasant time. Plus, she took some really beautiful photos for us!

Yuta-San was amazing! He explained the history of Osaka Castle really well, so it was easy to imagine how things were in the past and the strategic importance of the castle during the Shogun period. We had a great time! And thank you for the restaurant recommendations! We went to eat Okonomiyaki and it was delicious!! ❤️

We had a great time exploring Osaka Castle. Our guide Liu, was knowledgeable and made the history really easy to follow. Such a fun and interesting experience, definitely recommend!

Our tour guide Kaz did a great job! Her English was excellent so she was easy to understand, she was knowledgeable, had visual aides, was very mindful of people's different abilities to walk, and offered a bathroom break during the tour. She even had some good jokes thrown in! She was also very good about offering to take pictures of us, whose offer was only taken up by some of us, but there were plenty of opportunities to do so. The visit to Osaka castle was much more meaningful when someone explained its history, and we also got to skip the general ticket line and walked right in. I highly recommend this over just buying tickets and seeing the castle on your own.
