Guide
- [Walk and Watch in Real Scenery] Bid farewell to fixed seating restrictions, as the audience moves through various scenes with the plot, interacting with characters in real-time, and immersing themselves in the charm of the story.
- [Multi-line Cultural Story Exhibition] Four storylines run in parallel, from profound emotion and righteousness to ultimate utility and beauty, comprehensively showcasing Hunan culture, with five micro-theaters each offering unique highlights.
- [Clever Integration of Digital Light and Shadow] Utilizing 3D Mapping and other technologies, Song-style architecture is combined with light and shadow to create realistic scenes, blending virtual and real for an immersive experience.
- [Ancient and Modern Arias Resonate Together] The performance incorporates Song dynasty melodies and modern interpretations, with melodious music from the乐坊 (music workshop), and a blend of traditional and innovative singing, offering an endless auditory feast.
- [Classic Sayings Recited Together] Actors lead the audience in reciting classics such as the "Four Sayings of Hengqu," deeply understanding the Confucian mission and experiencing the essence of Hunan culture.
- [Architectural Space Hides Mysteries] Maximizing the use of original architectural space, meticulously transforming it with Song dynasty elements, allowing the audience to touch the architectural spirit of the Song dynasty as they wander.
- As the silhouette of Yuelu Mountain is tinged with twilight, and the ripples of the Xiang River shatter the last ray of the setting sun, the Gongji Tower on Orange Isle suddenly lights up with warm yellow light. The wind chimes on the eaves gently ring, as if an invitation from the Northern Song Dynasty – this is the "Jiangtian Muxue" (River and Sky in Evening Snow) live-action theater, a cross-century cultural dialogue, awaiting every curious traveler to push open the gate of time.
- The five major theaters innovatively adopt the "scenery moves with the play" viewing mode. Unlike traditional theaters with fixed seats, here the audience are walking participants in the story. Passing through the silhouettes of multiple mountain walls, in the mist of "Preface: Entering the Mountain Wall," the figure of the old man in a coir raincoat gradually becomes clear, thus beginning a journey of exploration into four cultural veins. You can receive bamboo slips handed by ancient people in "Front Courtyard Exploration," touching the deeply emotional and authentic essence of Hunan; you can also listen in on the debate between Zhu Xi and Zhang Shi in "Academy Deliberation," watching how Neo-Confucian thought sparks in the candlelight.
- The 30,000-square-meter park is a flowing stage, where the eaves of Song-style architecture blend with digital light and shadow. 3D Mapping technology transforms the walls of the River God Temple into a thousand-year-old scroll: when the evening snow falls, the entire roof seems to be covered with white snow; after the night banquet begins, the carved beams and painted rafters are filled with the unique osmanthus fragrance of Orange Isle. The hidden waterscape stage suddenly ripples, reflecting the music of the乐坊 (music workshop) and a fleeting glimpse of the audience. Between the virtual and the real, it's hard to distinguish whether one is in Tan Prefecture of the Song Dynasty or modern Orange Isle.
- "My path comes from the south, originally a lineage of Lianxi; the great river flows east, nothing but the lingering ripples of the Xiang River." The theater uses five micro-theaters to connect the spiritual code of Hunan culture. At the dining table of "Orange Isle Night Banquet," Su Shi wields his brush to write "Remember the good times of the year," and the celadon bowl holds not only rice wine but also the magnanimity in the literati's character; on the strings of "乐坊 (Music Workshop) Shengge," the singing and harmony of Qin Guan and Wang Youyou transcend time, vividly portraying the profound emotions of Hunan's sons and daughters.
- The most moving scene is undoubtedly "Academy Deliberation": in the lecture hall with flickering candlelight, students debate the true meaning of "governing the world for practical use." Suddenly, an actor turns and asks you: "If you encounter a chaotic world, should you wield a pen and ink or a sword and spear?" Such interaction is not a deliberately designed performance, but rather transforms the "concern for the world" gene in Hunan culture into a tangible ripple of thought. When the entire audience recites Zhang Zai's "Four Sayings of Hengqu" in unison, the sound waves resonate with the roar of the Xiang River, and the idealism of a thousand years ago now strikes the heart of every modern person.
- As dusk falls, holographic projection makes virtual snowflakes float across the entire sky, intertwining with the real river wind to create the spectacle of "thousands of trees and ten thousand trees blooming like pear blossoms" – this is the theater's unique parallel viewing mode, allowing day and night to each form a landscape, yet belonging to the same cultural scroll. The Jiangtian Muxue live-action theater is, in the gentlest way, making every passerby a witness and inheritor of Hunan culture.
