Hue Discovery Deluxe Full Day Tour

This private tour to Hue was excellent and exactly as described. We visited all the highlights on the itinerary, including the Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh Tomb, and Tu Duc Tomb. The guide shared many interesting historical facts and gave us enough time to explore each place while keeping the day well organized. Typical Hue itineraries include these major imperial landmarks. The drive was comfortable and efficient, and being on a private tour made a huge difference. We were able to move quickly between attractions, avoid unnecessary waiting, and focus on the most interesting parts of each site. Unlike some other popular destinations, Hue didn’t feel overwhelmingly crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Lunch was served at a quiet, peaceful restaurant, and the food was delicious. We left at 8:00 AM as scheduled and returned around 5:00 PM, exactly as advertised. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and we were very happy with the experience.

Highly recommend this tour! The palace and the King tomb is really worth seeing, especially with the glass and ceramics mosaic architecture. The transportation also gives you an opportunity to see the surrounding natural and village scenery in Vietnam. Great day in Hue! Long, our tour guide, was amazing! He gave us all kinds of interesting informations throughout the different sites we visited! Very nice guy! We really recommend it!

I was picked up on time at 7:30AM at my hotel. There were only 6 of us in the group which made it easier for the tour guide. The tour guide tried his best but it was obvious that he was tired and there were times that he looked bored. He also paid closer attention to the family of 3 (I hope they gave him a generous tip for all his trouble). The van was spacious and comfortable enough and the drive was smooth. The itinerary was fine. Lunch was good. We actually finished earlier which was good. I was dropped off at my hotel around 4:30PM. This is a good tour for those interested in history and a less “touristy” experience. I think it was worth what I paid.

This tour is highly recommended! You can visit the Citadel, temples, and mausoleums of Hue with a guide who is full of hospitality. Since the tourist spots in Hue are a bit far apart, you can efficiently tour them with a private car. The guide has studied Japanese considerably, so I was able to learn a lot about not only Hue but also Vietnamese culture. They were able to answer questions I had about traveling in Vietnam, and thanks to the guide, my trip to Vietnam was even more fulfilling! In addition, we were staying at a different hotel from the day before the tour and the hotel we were planning to stay at on the day of the tour, but they were flexible enough to accommodate our request to be picked up at one hotel and dropped off at another. For lunch, we were able to eat a traditional Hue course meal. Hue cuisine was the most delicious of my Vietnam trip, and it was a very valuable opportunity since it is difficult to find Hue restaurants on your own! Thanks to this tour, my trip to Vietnam was very fulfilling. Thank you very much!

The tour guide was very attentive, repeatedly confirming the pickup time the day before. On the day of the tour, they even let you know when they were arriving soon or would wait for ten minutes, which made it easy to manage your time. During the trip, it was a small group combined with Vietnamese tourists, which was unique because I thought they would understand the historical background or could just read the text descriptions. However, the tour guide was very skilled at continuously switching between Vietnamese and English, although sometimes some of the sounds were hard to understand. But they would use very simple words to explain, which allowed you to infer what they were saying. The whole itinerary revolved around the Imperial City and temples, and each time there was 15 to 30 minutes of free time. I think it would be perfect if you signed up with friends and wore Ao Dai or royal clothing, because the scenery is stunning, and there aren't too many people, so you can take beautiful photos of each other, except that it might be really hot and you might sweat a lot XD.

This was an amazing day tour of Hue! From the moment we left, everything was well organized. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the Nguyen Dynasty, the imperial palace, and the temples. I especially loved visiting Thien Mu Pagoda and Khai Dinh’s Tomb — the mix of architecture styles was stunning. The lunch was a real treat with authentic Hue cuisine served at a cozy local restaurant. It was also nice that the group was small, which made everything feel more personal and smooth. This tour is a great way to dive into Hue’s rich history and culture, even if you only have one day. Definitely worth it!

this was a wonderful tour and the guide, Ruby, was exceptional. all places listed were visited. i was picked up at my hotel and dropped off at a shopping mall = at my request as the tour finished just after 4pm. it was a small group so we had a mini van, just enough space = bigger van would have been more comfy for leg space. ideally, more time is needed to explore the citadel, if the tour could be extended til 5pm, it would be better to have an extra hr at the citadel. Ruby does give good history information about Hue, helped take photos for the group. highly recommend to see the highlights of the city within a day.

We did the Hue City Tour with Tring and it turned out to be one of the best tours we took in Vietnam. Her English is genuinely impressive, and her knowledge of Hue’s history — and Vietnam in general — made every stop feel rich and meaningful. She’s funny, easy to talk to, and had great food recommendations throughout the day. She also doubled as our unofficial photographer and clicked amazing photos of us. On top of that, she shared thoughtful philosophical ideas that added an unexpected depth to the tour. The itinerary was packed in the best way: a dragon-boat ride along the Perfume River, a visit to a Buddhist temple, the Citadel, Dong Ba Market, lunch at an incredible local restaurant (honestly one of the highlights), making mung bean cakes, the incense village, and the tombs of two Vietnamese kings (the 2nd and the 12th). Hue as a city was absolute perfection, and Tring made it even better. Highly recommend.

Must-do tour when you’re in Hue city. Provides a good overview of the imperial history of the town and you get to visit some amazing monuments of the past era along the way. our guide Ruby was great, easy to understand and very informative. lunch with unlimited local specialty food rounded up great experience!
