I joined a tour to Jebudo Island, Starfield Library, and Gwangmyeong Cave — it was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Younghee, was very professional, drove safely, and kept everything well-organized. Jebudo Island was so beautiful, and riding the longest sea cable car in Korea was such a fun and unique experience! Starfield Library was stunning, and Gwangmyeong Cave was truly fascinating. Overall, it was a great trip and I really recommend this tour! 🌟
As a geology enthusiast, I went to Korea at the end of July and joined this tour. The weather was very hot, but the shuttle van made everything much easier, allowing us to visit so many unique attractions. Seohae Cable Car & Coastal Ecology I was thrilled to see the mudflats and sea caves during low tide from the cable car. The panoramic view on the return trip was stunning. Riding the Crystal Cable Car, with the ocean visible beneath your feet, is incredibly exciting. The mudflats play a role in purifying seawater and air. We also went to the lighthouse to feed the seagulls. Strolling along the coastal path, the sea breeze was refreshing. The guide also introduced "부약제경 (扶濟????經)", explaining the concepts of supporting the land, aiding all things, observing nature, and managing the universe, which was very meaningful and informative. Hwaseong National Geopark Getting up close to the magnificent sea stacks was a real eye-opener for a geology enthusiast. Windmill Road A row of white windmills sits on the sea, set against a backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, making it a perfect spot for taking photos. The open scenery along the way lifted my spirits. Starfield Library Suwon I relaxed and rested in the air-conditioned library, reading two books. One of them was written by a psychiatrist, talking about how he pursued academic excellence and perfection from a young age, and how he eventually reached a breaking point. There was a picture in the book of him pulling a rickshaw, and collapsing one day. It resonated with me deeply, and made me feel that everyone needs to learn to let go of themselves from time to time. Unfortunately, because the itinerary was tight, I couldn't spend more time in the mall, but I understand the need to balance so many attractions. There was also a sharing session by an emeritus professor from Seoul National University that day. Gwangmyeong Cave This cave was originally a mine, abandoned in 1972. After more than forty years, it was redeveloped as a tourist attraction. Inside, you can see the poignant history of the miners, as well as exhibitions introducing the rocks that were mined, luminous installations, and a unique wine bar. I remember them mentioning a seven- (or nine-) level mine shaft, as well as introducing water quality exploration. The cave also houses an aquarium and aquaponics plant displays. The cave is cool, making it perfect for summer visits, but be aware that there are many stairs, and I saw some people getting cramps, so be careful. Passing by the area selling red wine, there was also an installation art piece depicting the four seasons, representing the Korean proverb "꽃길만 걷자고," which means "walk only on flower paths," symbolizing a smooth and beautiful life for everyone, which was heartwarming. Although the weather was hot, the itinerary was well-arranged, and the shuttle van made everything much more convenient. Each attraction was unique, covering geology, ecology, culture, and life reflections. I recommend it to friends who love nature, geology, and culture. Klook's arrangements were very professional, and I really enjoyed myself!
This trip is very suitable for travelers who want to get away from the city and experience a day of leisure. They can slow down and enjoy nature. It takes about an hour from the city to reach Xihai, where you can see the island waves. There are not many tourists. The tour guide carefully arranges each group of guests to get on the cable car. The 10-minute ride with the sea breeze is very enjoyable. Then we went to Suwon Starry Sky, which is known as Starry Sky Library 2.0. The mall is very big but we mainly went there for lunch at our own expense, so we didn’t have time to shop. There is a popular bagel shop in the mall where we can stop for a cup of cafe and rest. Finally, we went to Gwangmyeong Cave to explore the wonders of nature and it was very cool inside. The return journey takes about an hour. Recommend this tour to travelers who have already taken other popular tours.
We got through the tour with Branden! He was so caring because he notice that the weather is too hot so he makes sure to keep us comfortable. He also took good pictures of us with cute poses! So far it’s a very worth tour! Made such great friends as well! Daebak!
It's our first time visiting Korea, and this was the only tour we booked. It was a fun experience and tour - pick up and drop off were all smooth and communication was very clear. Our guide, Dominic, is such a wonderful, kind, polyglot guide. He is very attentive and considerate of all of us. Me and my friend were both Carats (Seventeen fans), and it was a plus that Dominic loves Seventeen too. It was an extra connection for us and it was a very warm feeling the whole time during the tour. At the end of the day, all tourists and guides are so comfortable and friendly with one another. The tour we took is not often taken by tourists (some prefer Eastern side instead), but we loved the very local and relaxed pace of this tour. I think there is just more walking for this tour, so if you don't like walking too much, it might be better to book another location :) Thank you to our guides. I will recommend this tour to friends and will do it again next time I visit Korea.
Branden was a great and helpful tour guide. Gwangmyeong Cave was probably the highlight of an overall good day out despite the rain.
Really interesting and good tour to experience somewhere out of Seoul. Insightful cave tour was fun! A little bit rushed but it is normal since it is a lot to pack within a day. Our tour guide Sally was fluent in English and Mandarin. Parents enjoyed it very much.
Joining a day tour makes it easy to reach places that are usually difficult to get to on your own. The schedule for this tour isn't too tight, and there's enough time to enjoy each stop. Gwangmyeong Cave is especially great to visit in the summer, as it's a good way to escape the afternoon heat. Friendly reminder: if the tour guide mentions a tidal flat, they actually mean the intertidal zone.
Our guide Ha Kim, was very patient and easygoing. Though the weather wasn’t on the good side, making the Jebu island experience a little underwhelming; nevertheless the Suwon Library & the Gwangmyeong Cave more than made up for it. Thank you so much for leading our group!
Thanks to our guide, Branden, for taking photos for us and recommending hidden gems like London Bagel and Zhajiangmian – they were amazing! 👍 He was also very patient in explaining each attraction to us! Highly recommend!
