Reviews
We had an absolutely fantastic time on the combined Mangrove and Island Hopping tour. The entire staff was professional and friendly, but our guide, especially for the Mangrove portion in Kilim Geoforest Park, was exceptional! He was incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out rare wildlife and explaining the ecosystem with passion and detail. The trip felt well-organized, safe, and truly personalized. Highly recommend if you want a deep, informative dive into the natural beauty with a team that genuinely cares about the experience.
This was a great experience. I booked for 2 people and worth the money. first did mangrove tour whoch starts at 9am and ends before 13:00. another driver picked us up from the mangrove place to take us to the island hopping from 14:00 to 17:30. the only critique I have is thay our driver was supposed to drop us off a restaurant to have lunch before getting to the island hopping place but we didn't get that chance. on the other hand during the island tour there is a great restaurant on one of the island that sells freshly pressed juice and great food! overall the experience was great. we also had the opportunity to swim at the beach and see the caves. I recommend you bring snacks and water as these are not provided.
The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, followed by an island tour (no disembarking). Lunch is available on the boat at your own expense. In the afternoon, you'll visit three different islands, with 30 minutes to an hour of free time on each. Highly recommended.
it wad a very good and wonderful trip, was worth it totally and my family really loved the place too
I requested a pickup from another hotel in the Kuah area, and they gladly agreed without any charge. In the morning, we were taken to join the mangrove tour, and in the afternoon, we were taken to join the island hopping tour. One thing to remember is to bring small change because the toilet costs RM 1. Also, I suggest eating at the fish farm restaurant (although not cheap) during the mangrove tour because after that, there are no more food stops, and you go straight to island hopping. I was very satisfied with this package.
everything was great! we had a lovely time - the process was smooth and seamless - including the hotel pickup and drop off.
this was a good tour however the time taken exceeded than what is mentioned in the itinerary. would recommend to carry some food with you as most islands had run out of food by the time we reached. the travel to and fro is convenient and the driver was polite. recommended tour
a good experience. all smooth.
hotel to activity transfer and back drop is excellent . Mangrove island tour operator and guide good , however island hopping operator is horrible ..wasted 1 hrs time for trip start and covered 1 island less than itenary
I made a reservation the day before, and the reservation details stated free pickup within a 3-kilometer radius, so I specified a pickup location that wasn't my hotel. The night before, I was contacted by the operator who informed me that the pickup location had been changed to my hotel and the time had also changed. The next morning, while waiting at the hotel, I received a call from the driver who said they were waiting at the original pickup location. After explaining the communication I had with the operator, they said OK and came to pick me up at the hotel. It seems the operator changed the location and time but didn't communicate this to the driver. Later that morning, I went on the mangrove tour, but at the check-in, we were the only ones not checked in at the same time, and we got separated from the rest of the tour group and were almost denied participation. We managed to join another tour, but worried that we might not be able to participate in the afternoon island hopping tour, I contacted the operator and the driver to explain the situation. It seemed we were the only ones on the afternoon tour, so a different driver came to pick us up and took us to the island hopping tour. The island hopping involved a very long boat ride, and the "fertility lake" we arrived at was dirty and we couldn't enter it. We stopped at a fish farm for 45 minutes for lunch while visiting about three islands, but it was too crowded to find a seat, and we ended up spending time in the scorching sun without being able to eat. We finished the island hopping tour without hardly getting into the sea and returned to the hotel, completely exhausted after a full day. We also had to pay entrance fees for the bat cave and the fertility lake, as they weren't included in the tour price, and we couldn't even use the restrooms without having small change in local currency. I was surprised when I had to pay for everything locally because I thought it was all included in the tour price. In the end, I'm glad we were able to visit our desired destinations, but instead of this tour, a Grab would have been sufficient for transportation, and it seems like we could have booked the mangrove tour directly. The island hopping probably requires a tour since it involves traveling by boat. Because I booked this tour, I wasn't able to go at my own pace, wasted time waiting for transportation, and didn't know the schedule for when and where we would be picked up, so I ended up unnecessarily tired. The experience wasn't terrible, but it was the worst tour I've ever taken.
