Reviews
Tour guide Kim's explanation was very interesting and engaging. I gained a deeper understanding of the history and stories of each place, adding color to the trip. Although the location is a bit remote, the scenery and experience are totally worth it! Visiting the Fox Shrine and miso factory is a must-do in a lifetime, and definitely worth the price! Moreover, it happened to be the autumn foliage season, and the weather and autumn leaves made the scenery even more beautiful and atmospheric!
Our guide for the day was the effervescent Kim and we were the only group that day so it felt like a private tour! The tour was paced well and never felt rushed. The driver was on always careful and the mini bus was great. Overall a lovely experience:)
Good to know
Korankei is one of Japan’s top three autumn leaf destinations—highly regarded for its 4,000 Japanese maple trees that transform the landscape with rich reds and golds each autumn (typically mid-late November). But Korankei is not just an autumn wonder—each season brings its own unique charm, from wildflowers in spring to vibrant green foliage in summer, and romantic snowy scenery in winter.
