we return this year after missing the opportunity to hop on this wonderful Puffing Billy Train last August as we unfortunately didn’t manage to secure tickets. It is advisable to book the train tickets in advance - we booked our Puffing Billy Train about 4 months prior to our August trip to Melbourne 😛

Perfect half day tour to the puffing billy! The pick up was smooth and timely. The driver/guide Aleks made the entire trip really lovely, chatting and getting know everyone and helping with photos. The music and song choices on the bus was a major plus!! The train ride is an hour long and stops at the visitor centre where there is a cafe and a lake. A must do if you have half a day to spare!

Had an amazing time and Jules, ben 1 & 2 were so helpful, easy going and great with photo taking. Entertaining the whole group throughout the journey and sang along in the van. One of the best guides I've met. Thank yuu for the memorable tour.

We joined the Puffing Billy half-day tour earlier this week with Robbo, and it was such a wonderful experience! Robbo is warm, enthusiastic, and made the entire journey so enjoyable. On the way to Puffing Billy, he kept the ride lively by sharing stories about the area and pointing out key landmarks around the city. On our way back to the city, he took us along a route where we were lucky enough to spot a few wild kangaroos. We truly enjoyed every moment of the tour. Thank you, Robbo, for making it such a fun and memorable day!

Had such an amazing time throughout this puffing billy half day tour! Our guide today was David and he was incredible! David was super friendly and he took care of everyone well. Super knowledgeable and took a lot of photos for the group! I was joining solo and he made sure I was well taken care of during the trip so if anyone’s wondering if it’s okay to go alone the answer is ABSOLUTELY! I’d certainly recommend go west! Would definitely have a tour with them again next time I come visit! 🔥👏

Overall a 'Great Experience' for half a day trip. Guide did a nice job explaining, helping take photos and giving helpful tips to enhance the trip. Only downsize was size and quality of 24 seater vehicle which was small sized and had rather not so comfortable seats - no reclining and cramped leg space. But travel time from city to location was just a 45 min drive and hence manageable. Highly recommended.

Tour Guide: Benjamin was very thoughtful, introducing us to the scenery along the way and recommending fun places in Melbourne. He was very nice. Train: The one-hour train ride from Belgrave to Lakeside was a fresh experience with beautiful scenery. I recommend sitting in the middle or rear carriages, as there's a lot of coal ash at the front. Itinerary: This was a very interesting half-day trip, and the scenery along the train route and at Lakeside was beautiful!
