Mayfield Garden is a splendid, sprawling garden of 15 hectares, located two hours outside of Sydney, Australia, and a popular sightseeing destination for travelers who want to walk in its beautiful features. This idyllic paradise that seems to be its own world is full of amazing features, such as the 2.5 hectare water garden, covered in the canopy of red oaks and copper beech trees, while dotted with rhododendrons and maple trees. On the ground, summer flowering bulbs bloom like a multi-colored carpet of jewels that ripply in the breeze. True to its name, the cascading waters flow down a man-made formation that is inspires by the nearby Kanangra Wall cliffs. For a touch of Summer romance, a walk in the Valley of Five Ponds is in order, as tulips, daffodils, fritillaria, crocus, grape hyacinth and lily of the valley twinkle in color all around you. Five valley ponds ripple lightly as you pass, linking to each other through a ground level rill you can follow. Informal pathways wind around the area, giving your walk that dreamlike quality that feels as though you're walking through a dream world. Pets are welcome in this garden as well, so you can bring your pets on a walk or play at the Pooch Parking. Kids can also enjoy the interactive garden games, where they can try playing on the giant chess set. Don't pass the chance to walk over the Bluestone Bridge, admire the Grotto, or behold the Copper Tree Fountain from the Chelsea flower show. A visit to Mayfield fills the heart with light and color, and a perfect opportunity to enjoy the loveliness of the trees and blossoms
