Reviews summaryWe visited a lot of places during the tour and was able to have time to browse lots of souvenirs and food throughout. Mount Aso crater was unfortunately closed but we were still able to enjoy and take in the amazing views. Our guides especially Sun was so accommodating even when we me and my friend were the only 2 English speaking people in the trip. They were both really jolly and would give good infos about the places and also gave tips on food and where else to visit around Fukuoka. So thank you so much to them :)
toured with Summer and Huahua, both very experienced and knowledgeable guides. they provided the tour in Korean, Mandarin & English, shared tips of what to see & what to eat and also provided personal stories. enjoyed myself thoroughly despite the bad weather. highly recommended!
From pickups to whole day trip and drop off, it is pretty straightforward and comfortable. I specially booked the first 3 rows front seats for my elderly parents. Both Gogoday mini van driver and tour guide Nanami are super friendly to me and my family! The driver was driving in fast and comfortable pace without wasting any time. My elderly parents were happy that they finally can understand, by listening to Nanami explaining the places in Nakadake, Kusasenri, Aso Shrine and Kurokawa Onsen, in their mother language. Thanks to Nanami’s recommendation too, we were able to buy the special souvenirs and yummy Aso milk and Aso ice cream! It was so coincidental that it is the uncle’s 86th bday when we visited his private garden on 16 May 2026!! Overall this day trip was really pleasant, THANK YOU!! Definitely recommend this!
This tour itinerary truly surprised us, taking us to other interesting places for photos in addition to the basic itinerary. Our tour guide, Helen Tan Yingying, provided incredibly detailed and attentive service. Two things stood out the most: First, even though it wasn't part of her direct responsibilities, Helen actively helped me inquire about available hot spring facilities in Kurokawa Onsen and successfully found one, which was very thoughtful. She also recommended some snacks worth trying. Second, when we encountered traffic congestion a short distance from the Kusasenri scenic spot, Helen immediately decided to let us get off and walk 5 minutes to the attraction. This not only helped us avoid the traffic but also added a new walking experience. Overall, I highly recommend this tour!
I think it would have been difficult to get to these places without renting a car, especially Mount Aso. The scenery of Mount Aso is exotic and overwhelming. It's not a view you can easily see anywhere. For that alone, I felt this tour was worthwhile. Kumamoto Castle, honestly, didn't leave a special impression on me. I felt that all Japanese castles are quite similar. This might be because I'm not very familiar with the historical context, or perhaps it was due to the rain. This tour runs from about 8 AM to 6 PM, and approximately 5 hours of the 10-hour schedule are spent traveling by bus. Nevertheless, it was still rewarding.
Sun was a very informative guide and I learned alot .The castle is impressive and well worth visiting but the view from the Aso plains is amazing.Such a strange landscape I would highly recommend this trip.
On January 7, 2026, which happened to be my birthday, I chose to arrange a day trip to Kumamoto through Klook. The tour guide said there was only a 20-30% chance of going to Mount Aso, so we were observing the wind direction the whole way, and everyone was a bit nervous and excited. We first went to Kusasenri to take photos, and then ate the famous Aso Akaushi Donburi. Unexpectedly, after eating, we received the good news that we could go up the mountain! I was so lucky 🤍 When we arrived at the crater, the surroundings were covered in white snow, which contrasted sharply with the smoking volcano, creating an unrealistically beautiful scene. The tour guide explained everything very carefully along the way, took a lot of beautiful photos for us, and even recommended delicious souvenirs. He was a completely thoughtful tour guide. Then we went to Aso Shrine to worship. We purified ourselves according to the method taught by the tour guide and filled a bottle with spring water to drink. It tasted sweet and delicious. Finally, we arrived at Kurokawa Onsen. In the cold weather, soaking in the warm foot bath relaxed me completely. Before returning, I bought a super red cream puff for dessert, which marked the end of this birthday day trip. Spending my birthday among volcanoes, snow scenes, and hot springs was an unforgettable memory 🎈🤍
It was a relaxing trip without worrying of the transportation and access to the remote places in Aso. the tour guides Wang and Zheng are very professional and informative. I’ve learned so much about Japan along the way. We had an hour of onsen at Kurokawa. I slept so well after that.
We chose Course B because Kumamoto Castle was within personal visiting distance. First of all, thank you to guides Jungwoo and Mao. Guide Jungwoo provided guidance in Korean and Chinese, and Guide Mao provided guidance in English and Japanese. Thank you so much for providing guidance in 4 languages. And thank you for your kind and very detailed guidance. The course was in the order of Mount Aso crater, Kusasenri, Aso Shrine, and Kurokawa Onsen. We were given an hour and a half in Kurokawa Onsen, but I wish we had a little more time. I thought it might be better to spend a little less time at Aso Shrine. Because there isn't much to see in Kurokawa Onsen town, but there are cute shops and a delicious cream puff store, so I spent more than 40 minutes walking around. So I couldn't take a bath in the hot spring. The parking lot was a bit far away, so I was worried about being late, so I couldn't take a bath. ㅠ If you want to take a bath, I recommend taking a bath for about 30 minutes first, and then spending the rest of your time looking around. We plan to use it again next time we come. Guide Jungwoo, Guide Mao, always be healthy. Thank you ^^
Thank you to our guide, Yingying (Tan Yingying Helen), for her attentive leadership. We were very fortunate to have Yingying on this trip. The pre-trip information provided was very complete and clear, and she thoughtfully provided multiple ways to contact her, accommodating travelers from different countries (such as WhatsApp and Line, which is especially convenient for Taiwanese travelers). Her message responses were very prompt, which was reassuring. During the tour, she provided detailed and informative introductions to the sights, and she flexibly used both Chinese and English to cater to travelers with different language backgrounds. Her speaking pace was moderate, the interaction was natural, and overall, it was very comfortable to be around her. In addition, Yingying herself is pretty and refined, with very expressive eyes, leaving a very good impression 😆.
