Due to the high price, it had been a long time since I last visited Cafe Kool for their lunch or dinner buffet. This time, I decided to try it again because of a buy-one-get-one-free promotion. The food selection was extensive and delicious, including steamed lobster with garlic, abalone, wagyu beef, chilled seafood, and sashimi. There was a rich variety of choices for each category, along with complimentary juice and coffee. While there were many dessert options, the ice cream selection was limited, which was a minor drawback. The staff service remained polite. Overall, the buy-one-get-one-free offer made it excellent value for money.
My family especially loves the buffet here and we have visited many times. The food quality is great with a wide variety of choices. The food display area is very spacious and well-organized, making it easy to get food while maintaining high quality. Elderly guests will particularly enjoy it because of the many hot dishes and double-boiled soups. The desserts are delicious and come in many varieties, and the self-service drink station has an overwhelming number of options, including beer and Japanese fruit wine. There is also a QR code to order special dishes, which was an extra pleasant surprise. The buffet space is very large; although the decor is a bit dated, the spacing between tables is generous, allowing for comfortable conversations in a relaxed atmosphere unlike the overly crowded feel of other hotels. The service is also very attentive, providing a wonderful experience, and we will continue to patronize this restaurant.
Exceptional service and amazing food! First, regarding the service, the staff are friendly, polite, and proactive in looking after our needs: the steak cutter remembered that I wanted mine sliced thin; the noodle chef voluntarily offered to make an extra bowl; and the floor staff frequently checked in on the needs of the elderly and children! The food is nothing short of flawless, made-to-order and served fresh, with both savory and sweet options: baked scallops, soft-shell crab, durian crepes, molten lava cake... and no need to wait in line or rush for anything. There are also premium delicacies: fish maw steak, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, grilled crab legs, Japanese fruit platter... Other than being an incredible value and absolutely delicious, I can't think of any other words to describe it!
We celebrated my husband's birthday, and the food quality was excellent with a good variety. The grilled scallops were served in small batches, but luckily there weren't many people in line, so we managed to get some twice. There was also a wide selection of desserts. While there wasn't unlimited soda, there were many other drink options, including iced tea, iced coffee, and even a DIY marshmallow station. We received a complimentary birthday cake with a personalized plate, which my husband really enjoyed. The waitstaff provided high-quality service as well. We will definitely come again.
The buffet lunch at Kowloon Shangri-La is definitely worth trying! The lobster claws are fresh, sweet, and springy, the stewed soup is hot and flavorful, and the dessert selection is extensive. The ambiance is comfortable, and the service is attentive.
This was my first time purchasing a buy-one-get-one-free offer, and the hotel environment was excellent. The food quality was great, with a wide variety of options, and they refilled dishes quickly! However, the desserts were too sweet, and it would be even better if there were more fruit options. Overall, it's highly recommended.
The hotel environment was comfortable, and the tables were spaced appropriately. There was a good variety of food, and it tasted great, though no single dish stood out as exceptional. We were celebrating a pre-birthday, and even though we didn't specifically mention it, the hotel was very thoughtful and surprised us with a small cake and a decorated plate, which was a wonderful touch and significantly enhanced our experience. The staff's service was also excellent. We left feeling very satisfied. We would definitely consider returning if there's a special offer.
I enjoyed the buffet so much in May that I came back with friends in June. I really love the nostalgic decor here; it has a natural and comfortable feel. The hotel's dessert selection is varied and delicious, and they even have durian ice cream, which I adore! The conch stew was a pleasant surprise—it was hot and incredibly sweet. Each person also received a prawn, which made it well worth the price. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Very satisfied!
The food selection is rich and varied, and the taste is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the stewed soup, Hainanese chicken, Wagyu sukiyaki, grilled eel skewers, cold cuts, apple crumble, and crème brûlée. Furthermore, the service was outstanding. Staff members briefly introduced the beverage area when seating us, were always on standby to offer assistance, and cleared plates quickly. Highly commendable!
Seafood: The steamed lobster with garlic was delicious. Salad: Many varieties, all tasty. Cooked Food: The wagyu beef was amazing, and the drunken abalone was good. Soup: The tomato soup was perfectly tart. Dessert: The freshly made egg waffles were delicious, as were the tofu ice cream and the pistachio chocolate lava cake. Service: Plates were cleared quickly, and the staff had excellent attitudes. Location: Right outside Tsim Sha Tsui P1 exit.
