Reviews
abit confusing throughout the tour. First the pick up location is unclear, Second, the tour leader instruction is not clear, many of us have to double confirm with the tour leader for actual departure time and st Micheal cave tour. but overall Gibraltar is a wonderful place to visit. wish to have more time to explore.
Pick up passengers along the way, the outbound journey takes four hours, the return journey takes four hours, and the tour takes three hours. Gibraltar has a beautiful scenery and overlooks Morocco in Africa.
Although the journey is quite long (take a big tour bus from Malaga, and then change to a minibus to go up the Rock and tour the city when you get to Gibraltar), for those who want to travel independently, taking this tour can save a lot of inconvenience and time, and the cost will not be much more expensive than taking a bus on your own. The tour guide will also explain some history along the way, and there is no compulsory shopping. Although the time for the attractions is limited, you don’t feel rushed, and you can still enjoy it and gain a lot!
Too many pickup points, overall it's acceptable.
There are more than 10 pick-up and drop-off locations for group members along the way, which will consume at least 3 extra hours of transportation time from the round trip. When booking the itinerary, the conversation situation was not stated
The experience of going to Gibraltar was a bad experience. There was no clear information that to enter Gibraltar you must have a UK visa and a Schengen visa is not enough, so I couldn't enter and had to let my money go to waste, the 3-hour trip from Malaga was wasted, and I had to let my jacket be left on the bus, because the bus was parked in an area that requires a UK visa. There was no contact number for the guide given, so in the end I went back to Malaga using a public bus without a group. For those who are going to Gibraltar, be careful with Indonesian/Asian passports because your trip will likely be in vain.
The visit to Gibraltar was nice. The bus and guide were fine, however, the bus was late for 10 minutes and spent too much time picking up guests at several stops, which ended up taking 3 hours from Malaga to Gibraltar. The biggest problem is that content editor responsible for this activity page should have specified that this package does not include the visit to the Rock or the St. Michael's Cave, as we were surprisingly notified by the guide saying the cost we paid was only for round-trip transfer from Malaga itself. So it was a bit like cheating. Better solution might be including the package for local guided tour and adjust the price. But anyway, Gibraltar still worth a visit.
The trip is ok, good experience in Gibraltar with wonderful view. The trip included 2 hours shopping and lunch and a 3 hours bus tours. The rest is a 6 hour Malaga hotel trip to pick up the visitor one by one.
At the end the view and the local guide, Paul, a witty and funny british guy made this trip worth while. While as the guide that accompanied us on the big bus, a Spanish, was a huge mistake: did not speak correctly not even his own language, in English was a disaster. We spent too much time on the road picking up and all the tourists. Maybe a smaller bus with a smaller group would have a been a better idea.
We booked the tour a month ago but the travel agent had no record of our names on his list. Luckily the bus had enough space to drive us & we could continue the journey. Out of the 11h, 6h had been spend on travel as there were numerous pick-up/ drop-off points. Not much to see in Gibraltar or the guide has said much about the history. It was a bit disappointed.
