Illusion Art Museum Prague is an award-winning interactive art museum in Prague's Old Town, just a two-minute walk from Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock. A five-time Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice recipient, it was the first museum in the Czech Republic dedicated to illusion and trick art.
The museum combines historic illusion-making techniques with original contemporary illusion art by Czech and international artists, including Patrik Proško, Jonty Hurwitz, Patrick Hughes, Ivana Štenclová and Florian Goerlitz. Many of its works draw on Czech history and culture, bringing iconic figures such as Franz Kafka, Antonín Dvořák and Václav Havel to life through anamorphosis, spatial illusion, kinetic art and light-based installations.
Visitors are encouraged to touch, explore and photograph the exhibits. Multilingual museum guides are on hand to explain the art, reveal the correct viewpoints and help visitors capture memorable photos, while an audio guide is available in more than 10 languages.
