For backpackers looking for a place to stay near Ao Nang, Popeye guesthouse is the best location, just walking distance from Ao nang, lots of store, shops, spa and restaurants. If it's hot season I would suggest to get the AC room, we only got Standard fan room, not too humid or hot since it rain during our stay but still it is hot. The bed and bathroom are clean, except for the rusty mini fridge and the small hallway. But for it's price, that is totally fine, still would recommend it for not too sensitive backpackers. The Landlady is very nice, they also operates laundrymat and motorbike rentals.

Simple but nice rooms. Has a shower, toilet, bed and a fan. Everything you'd need for a place where you would just sleep and spend the rest of thebday outside. There was an AC for an additional cost.
