Great
We had two rooms . Both ok but think mattresses need upgrades. Also rubbish out side windows on flat roof doesn’t make a good look. But would stay again Food in bar was lovely as were the waiting staff.

Fantastic
Lovely hotel in a fantastic setting. Room and bathroom a good size. Breakfast had a good choice of food and replenished. The only fault is that the pool & spa area is not very accessible in that while the lift goes to floor one it is for staff only. It is also poorly signposted, we had to walk around quite a bit to find the changing room which was accessed through the ladies & gents toilets. Robes and slippers would also have been useful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return ourselves.

My being black, I was left standing at the bar for 20 mins when wanting to order despite being ahead of other people in the bar queue and it was only when my white partner turned up, was I served. A prejucial silent welcome for sure. We landed after 7pm and it appeared too much effort to sort some food at the bar. Ordered buffalo chicken wings, I think they hatched the egg, grew the chicken before killing and cooking it, it took so long for my bar snack to arrive. Glass shards in the bedroom carpet, mould in the shower, sink cracked, toilet not flushing, scaffolding outside the windows. Worst tasting scallops I've ever experienced. Asked for orange juice at breakfast as dispenser was empty only for waitress to consent to get more but never delivered. This was my second and final stay here and is for sure my last. One positive was the lovely housekeeping lady, who stood out from all other staff I had dealings with, mainly as she spoke to me as a person rather than blatantly blanking and ignoring me.

Needs a bit of maintenance. Pool was my main draw but it was a bit tired with broken tiles. Room had a drain smell in the bathroom. The grounds were nice and the pub food was lovely.

I paid for an upgrade but when we arrived we were not told until we moved in that there was scaffolding in front of the window and a walkway.as we were unpacking a young couple walked into the room and told us it was thier room reception had double booked the room.on our last night we went to the claret Jug as we didn’t want a meal just a snack despite the menu saying they were open until 9pm they wouldn’t serve us as they said they stop serving at 6 o clock, it was 10 past 6

Really enjoyed our stay. The grounds, room and facilities were lovely. The only slight negative for us was restricted hours for family swimming sessions but otherwise we really enjoyed it and can understand the need to please all users. The staff were superb.

Nice place. Clean and tidy. Would say it needs modernization in the not too distant future.

Sadly the first room had scaffolding at the window due to works. The bathroom only had a bath. Staff quickly offered me another room which had a shower and more space. The rooms are a little dated. Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly. Evening meal was good but breakfast was a-bit of a let down. Would return.
