We had a wonderful stay at Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel in Cebu! Our room was upgraded for free due to ongoing maintenance in the building where we originally booked, and we truly appreciated the gesture. The upgraded room also allowed us to stay closer to the pool and the beach, which made our experience even better. The lifeguards were attentive and responsible while on duty, giving us peace of mind while enjoying the water. Breakfast was awesome! Although the selection was not extensive, the food choices were good quality and satisfying. All the staff were nice, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Costabella is a wonderful place to stay in Lapu-Lapu City if you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway. We had a great experience and would gladly recommend this resort to others visiting Cebu!

We had a great experience during our stay at Costabella. The rooms and amenities were good, and the overall resort was nice and relaxing. However, accessibility can be a bit challenging since the resort is located farther inside the area and is approximately 28 minutes away from Mactan Airport. If you plan to use Grab frequently to visit famous spots around Cebu, the transportation costs can add up since the resort is quite far from the main road, malls, and grocery stores. But if you’re mainly looking for a relaxing staycation and don’t plan to go out too often, Costabella is definitely a nice place to stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a good experience. transport access: 6/10 breakfast: 9/10 hotel location: 7/10

It was a very pleasant stay, the staff were so warm, friendly and accomodating. My room was nice, quiet, the aircon was cold and the water pressure for the shower was good with consistent hot water. the buffet breakfast wasnt part of the room rate that I booked (I regret not getting it with the room) and its 995 pesos add on so I suggest get the buffet breakfast included as it was quite delicious! i enjoyed the poolside also, the happy hour cocktails were definitely enjoyed poolside. will book again when i visit cebu next time.

It’s a nice experience. Only the location is not so near with the restaurants and establishments because you have to keep riding with taxi, trycicle and grab cars but their breakfast buffet is great and the staff are friendly.

IRONMAN ADVISORY 2026

We are excited to announce that the IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu triathlon will take place in Mactan on August 9, 2026, Sunday. This thrilling event will feature: 1.9 km ocean swim, 90 km bike ride, 21.1 km run.

 

The race will begin at Mactan Newtown Beach, traverse Manuel L. Quezon Street, and continue across the CCLEX Bridge on its bike course.

 

Important Traffic Updates

ALL MAJOR ROADS ON THE ISLAND WILL BE CLOSED during the event.

The cyclists will then exit the bridge in Cebu City making the first turn-around at KM 24 in the South Road Properties. Participants head back to CCLEX for turnaround 2 at KM 34, back to SRP turnaround at KM 45, then to the turnaround at KM 55, and then for the final loop at KM 66. Heading back to CCLEX to exit at KM 77 then follow the same route to Mactan Newtown for the run course. 

Guests arriving from the Mactan Cebu International Airport are advised not to go directly to the hotel during the event. Instead, we suggest visiting nearby malls or staying in the vicinity to avoid being impacted by traffic disruptions.

The airport shuttle fee is PHP 900 for 2 adults & 3 luggage per car, PHP 1,300 for 5 adults & 5 luggage per AUV, PHP 1,500 for 7 adults & 7 luggage per VAN (Rate may change without prior notice). The rate is subject to a 10% surcharge to late arrivals during 10:00-17:30
