We had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect — the room matched the description and photos, and the staff were excellent, very friendly and always helpful. We did not have breakfast, so I cannot rate that part of the experience. Before arriving, I had read some negative reviews about the renovation work taking place at the hotel, which made me a little worried. However, there was absolutely nothing to be concerned about. The renovation did not disturb our stay in any way. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff was amazing and helpful and the property was a delight to stay in De Pijp. Can't wait to come back and stay at this exact location.

This property was very much in construction during what should have been my two-day stay, but ended up relocating to a different hotel to avoid it. Bathroom products weren't up to the quality expected for the price.

1. The entrance and way to reception was really bad and dangerous with construction materials all over the place 2. There is NO MENTION of construction activity at all on Expedia. This is DECEPTIVE marketing. 3. The complimentary breakfast was just a coffee machine which did not work sometimes and some packaged cookies and pastries kept in a dusty environment. This is not a definition of ‘breakfast included’ 4. The twin bed room was not as per pictures in Expedia. The beds we got were placed with headboards together and not side-by side as shown on Expedia. 5. The room that we got was not ready for guests. There were open unfinished outlets on the wall. 6. Part of the room did not have any lights. It was very difficult to navigate around, eat or access our things due to this issue. 7. The bathroom lights could not be turned off 8. Had alerted the staff of the situation and the staff came and inspected the room and noted that what we told was accurate. 9. Told the hotel manager as well at the time of checkout 10. Did not expect this kind of room / lodging for the price that we paid for our 2-night stay. 11. Expecting some level of compensation or refund for these issues.

The hotel was undergoing major renovations that were noisy and unsightly for the whole week we were there. The pictures on their website and on expedia are nothing like what it actually looks like. All the cool video game stuff was removed and it looks like they’re taking what made them unique and being just like every other hotel. It was an active construction zone, it was loud and honestly, over priced for the experience. The worst part is this was never communicated, it was just a rug pull the moment you arrive. And after a 7 hour flight, I didnt have the energy to fight and try to find a new hotel.

Other than the good location and an ok room, this was a very poor experience. The listing advertised a ‘top rated breakfast’ and an ‘arcade/game room’, but breakfast was unavailable and there was no games room. The hotel was also in the middle of major construction works, making it feel more like a building site than a hotel, with intrusive noise from around 8am each morning. Staff were elusive and not attentive. Worse still, the breakfast refund promised at check-in has never been paid, and multiple attempts to contact the hotel have gone unanswered without even an acknowledgement. Poorly managed, poorly communicated, and not as described.

Expedia did not let me know that the hotel was under complete construction. I paid for breakfast prior to coming and not only was there no breakfast but there was no lobby, no bar, no nothing it was a complete construction site. My room has open electrical outlets

Solo stay

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The property is currently under construction, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. There was a strong smell throughout, likely related to the ongoing work, and the room itself was extremely small with no proper space for luggage. Basic amenities were missing — there was no closet, no place to sit, and even the shower and toilet were uncomfortably small. To make matters worse, the staircase was closed, and I had to use an alternative exit without any clear prior notice. Overall, the stay felt poorly managed and inconvenient. It is frustrating that the hotel continues to operate under these conditions. It would be far more reasonable to close temporarily and reopen once construction is complete, or at the very least clearly inform guests in advance. Due to this negative experience, I believe a refund is justified.

Good
This hotel is under major construction. The reception is currently in a bedroom and the entrance is the fire exit. Work starts early and ends late. The room was nice but bathroom not very clean. There was a coffee station in the foyer partially obstructing my door which was very odd. The room was also at street level so very noisy at night. This hotel might be great when they’ve finished renovating but for now o thought it was overpriced for what it was.
