Great
Our room, 304, was perfectly fine and to the level we were expecting. We were close to the lifts but this didn’t disturb us. If you want to be close to the Pleasure Beach this hotel is ideal. Our booking excluded breakfast and we ate out so I can’t comment on that. My only slight criticism is that the welcome at the front desk could be better. The lady who ‘greeted’ us was rather abrupt and could have been friendlier.

We recently stayed at The Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool for two nights from Friday 3 July, and overall, we had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and the whole experience felt very well organised. One of the first things that impressed us was how quick and efficient the check-in process was. We arrived earlier than the usual check-in time and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in at around 11:30am. This made a big difference to the start of our stay, as it allowed us to settle in, drop off our belongings, and begin enjoying our time in Blackpool without having to wait around. The staff were welcoming, professional and made the process feel smooth and stress-free. Our room was clean, tidy and well presented. It was clear that good standards of housekeeping had been maintained, which is always one of the most important parts of any hotel stay. The room felt comfortable and suitable for a short break, with everything we needed available. It was nice to come back to a clean and relaxing space after spending time out and about in Blackpool. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The breakfast was superb, with a good choice available and everything we had was enjoyable. It was well organised and set us up nicely for the day ahead. A good breakfast can really improve a hotel stay, and in this case it definitely added to the overall positive experience. The location of The Big Blue Hotel is also excellent.

The hotel at check-in was very welcoming the male receptionist was lovely and very friendly and really helpful..we returned to the hotel after the Lytham festival it seemed like a different hotel the receptionist/ barman was as miserable as sin we only wanted an Irish coffee to warm us up he said no it was after 11. The breakfast was beautiful and lots of choice. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Very impressed with this hotel. Our room was clean, with a separate little area with two bunk beds, two TV’s and a PlayStation for children. I was happy to see Yorkshire tea and proper milk in the room and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice and nice full English. Friendly staff and a nice bar. Right next to the rollercoaster and pleasure beach. I’d recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

This is an independent hotel and not a chain which enables it to look different from everybody else. The check in was quick and was able to go to room early. The parking easy plenty of spaces. Breakfast was very nice and everything was topped up regularly so you never ran out or had to wait. Probably I would say the toast area and fruit juice and hot drinks all squashed together. Didn't use the bar so cant comment. I did like that we never had to wait very long for the lift which was just as well as they were quite small. The hotel is very close to the beach and pleasure island but quite a distance from the centre. However we found the trams frequent and easy to use.

After our amazing stay in November at this same hotel, we booked again but sadly this time our stay fell very short of expectations. For the money spent I expect a premium experience and this was not the case. The lifts were filthy for a start, and so were some of towels in our room. The bathroom door took some force to close properly and some lights flickered in the room. Cocktails were advertised in the bar but they were not being served, we ended up going back to Wetherspoons. Staff did not even offer the VIP entrance passes into the park, we had to go back and ask since I found my brother had received one from Boulevard Hotel he was staying in. Staff were nowhere near as attentive as our November trip and fell really short this time. Not impressed.

Hotel was lovely and clean, staff were friendly. Room was serviced well. Comfortable bed. Room had a fridge and fire place with comfortable seating giving it a homely feel. Only slight problem was no rails what so ever to assist getting in or out of bath.
