Great location to the Royal Mile. Comfy bed. Good selection for breakfast.

Ordinary modern hotel without any character. Confusing layout without adequate signing to various parts. Minimal linens. Comfortable bed. Breakfast just OK, dark space with little outside light.

The hotel location is excellent and the team at reception were very helpful. The hotel is going through some renovations and so there was building work ongoing. The rooms were basic but clean.

Location is great. A very short walking distance to both sides of the Royal Mile and within walking distance of Princes Street over the North Bridge. There are many eateries around the hotel featuring cuisines from all over the world at more affordable prices than at the castle end of the Royal Mile.For those on a budget Piemaker across the road has excellent pies. Quality pie and softdrink for just under 5 pounds. There is a small Sainsburys a few steps from the hotel.Try the sweet Scottish strawberries and raspberries in July. An efficient laundrette is situated on Jeffery.Street off the Royal Mile at Canongate.Howeve the standout feature of this hotel for me were the friendly, helpful staff. I am glad I am stayingvthere again mid July.

I appreciated the air conditioning. The bathroom gives off cruise ship vibes. The dinner is decent if you don’t feel like going out. I’d skip the breakfast tbh. A few nights it was pretty loud from the street behind the hotel.

Great location which was close to the Royal Mile and other must see places. Included breakfast was great.

excellent location, near everything of importance

An excellent location, close to the hop-on hop-off bus and museums. There seems to be a fair amount of dining options. The restaurant and bar in the lower level is quite good. We enjoyed their fish and chips for dinner. The the bar which is part of the restaurant has a nice selection of local beers. We had to leave early for a flight back to the US, so we didn't get a chance to try the breakfast. Maybe next time. They will also hold luggage so if you are getting off of a cruise or something no worries.

The room was good, and the staff very helpful. Good breakfast!

Comfortable beds, we slept well.
