Apparently it was an old newspaper, so thatā€™s the theme of the hotel. The restaurant bar and hotel bar are lovely. Thereā€™s lots to do and see within a short walking distance. The staff, especially Tim Caban, Assistant Guest Services Manager, is excellent-top notch! Heā€™s very professional, yet kind and caring. Marriott, you have an excellent employee and they are difficult to find. Marty, at the front door was also great. Remembered our names, was always there, pleasant and personable. People like these two gentlemen can greatly improve your sta.

Solo stay

The staff were amazing, the room was amazing (the bathroom, the shower, the bed, the blackout curtains, the fancy robe, and the interior design were all superb), and the restaurant was fantastic! Unfortunately, I'm really sensitive to sound, and because the building is older, I could definitely hear small sounds in the plumbing, refrigeration, and/or ventilation that made it hard to sleep well. Additionally, the remote was a bit sluggish with the TV, and the previous guests' Netflix access hadn't been cleansed from the TV. I mentioned all of these things to the front desk, they made a note of them, and they offered me extra points since I was only staying one night.
