Great location with multiple railway connections, but with a bargain price! They offered a twin bed room for our lowest price option, which make our stay more comfortable. Quite a large room with lots of space to open our suitcases easily, especially considering the hotel is located in the center of Osaka.

This is the second time we stayed in Hotel Monterey Grasmere. Though the price is higher than other hotels in the area, knowing how convenient it was and how good are experience was back in 2019, it was our first choice.

I stayed at a nearby hotel nearby and was planning to return to that hotel after a short trip outside Osaka. I instead decided on staying at Hotel Monterey, as the other hotel would not hold my bags during my short trip. Glad we made the change. Rooms almost twice the size, fast elevators, good breakfast, and comparable price. also stored bags with no charge which was why we made the change.

Hotel is 3 mins walk to namba station, it's connected to the station. There is a Family Mart right below it and a grocery store. The room is nice, the bed firm, pj's are provided instead of robes. It has the basic toiletries. Also, mouthwash and headbands, razors & hairbrush are also included. No face creams and lotions in the lobby or room. You can also leave your luggages. Also near Dotonbori if you use the exit 14. The 1st day we went to dotonbori it felt like 17mins walk from hotel to dotonbori but if you use this exit then its probably just 5 to 8 mins. Namba station has lots of restaurants too. Heads up, if you will book hotel Grasmere then there is a tax you need to pay when you check in. (We didn't have to pay this on the 1st hotel I booked in Tokyo). If you have the free USJ transfer you need to reserve early because I didn't get to use the free transfer because the date that I am suppose to go to USJ is already fully reserved. I recommend this hotel
