Fantastic

Stayed with friends · For friends and family

We were a group of 6 friends who booked 5 rooms at Leonardo Boutique Huntingtower. We loved everything about the hotel! Rooms were spacious, clean, and had electric kettles and coffee/tea. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed time in the evening sitting in the lounge enjoying drinks from the bar. Breakfast was held in the most amazing dining room and was delicious. We had some of the breakfast buffet as well as the hot options. We would definitely return!

The hotel is located outside of Perth centre, in a quiet area and close to the Almond river. There is a lovely riverside walk within half a mile of the hotel. There are no busy roads close by, so the hotel and grounds are quiet, which we appreciated. The reception and restaurant employees were helpful and polite. Sadly, I cannot give the hotel a higher rating than 2 stars because it really needs refurbishment. The furniture in the room shows signs of wear, and the walls need redecorating. There were marks on the walls in our room where drinks etc have been spilled on the paint. The bathroom is dated, the toilet flush had to be manually returned to horizontal after flushing otherwise it continued to fill the cistern. The cold tap on the sink would benefit from a new washer because it wasn't possible to stop it running. The room has a musty smell which had been masked (unsuccessfully) with room freshener. Breakfast was a traditional offer, and the choices were limited for vegetarians and vegans. I asked for soya milk, which was provided, but had not been in the fridge. Lukewarm soya milk for breakfast cereal is unpleasant. In short, this hotel has seen better days.

If you have mobility issues, this may not be the hotel for you. Our room 214 was up 3 flights of narrow stairs. Housekeeping needs to do a Thorough cleaning more often. I'm not a fan of seeing cobwebs in the corners of the floors. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is not walkable into town. Everyone we talked to said it was one of the best hotels in town.

For the most part the staff were great, the night manager needs some grace and kindness when a guest has concerns. The front desk staff amazing the restaurant staff 10 stars amazing. The hotel controls the heat and doesn’t turn it on until after 9pm. Our room needs improvement. Room 417 they have not cleaned the room properly for some time. Under the desk by chair there are cob webs and hair build up. We asked for the room to be made up when we left for day outing to return to the bed being made and fresh towels. However they did not take the dirty dishes /glasses or wipe down the table and dresser or vacuum. There was still paper on the floor in the bathroom when we returned

stayed here last year and had a great experience and lovely room. Very disappointed this time with our room, booked double standard, was told at reception we were upgraded to a superior double. Was shown to a chalet out the back, which on entering appeared dated and the windows did not close properly. Would not class as an upgrade… Room was nothing like the pictures on the website. Unable to have showers in the morning as the water was scalding hot. Bar & restaurant staff were friendly and food was good.

Lovely old country house hotel looking a little dated in some areas. Lovely grounds, super comfy beds, good staff and a good breakfast to start the day
