Fabulous location on the River! Good breakfast, helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms, and discounts provided on the winery downstairs.

Rooms were fantastic, spotless and cleaned daily.breakfast well just WOW!! You order the night before, if you want an omelet or eggs they cook them to order. They bring everything to you.
But above all else the staff, brilliant š. From check in to room staff,to breakfast staff all go above and beyond, you can definitely see that the staff enjoy working there.
We will be back.

I literally felt like I was in a movie! Our room had double French doors looking over the water. Street musicals were playing music and the crowd was lively. The hotel staff was incredible and breakfast amazing ! Loved this so much!

GreatStayed with friends Ā· For friends and family
Location, cleanliness and staff were outstanding. The only area that let it down was our room amenities, lots of space but not much storage

Deluxe twin room was picture perfect, quiet, new, clean. Staff friendly/helpful. Breakfast w/ room plentiful and varied.
Lost a star on access. Be prepared to carry suitcases up multiple sets of stairs.
Access to private rooms through black painted stairwell with poor lighting. (a light colored accent wall would not change edgy vibeā¦)

Lovely historic building located in the heart of Gaia. We booked a suite and had an amazing view over the Douro River and onto Porto. Everything was easily walkable and the city has so much too see and do. We even did some port tours and got a reduced rate through the front desk. Breakfast was delicious and made to order with tons of choice and wonderful coffee. The only downside to our entire experience was the noise of people coming in and out using the stairs and that our suite was right beside the common area/breakfast area. I would definitely book again but probably not the suite.
