FantasticStayed with family · For friends and family
This was the second Mimaru we stayed in on this trip. The first was in Kyoto.
Mimaru staff is excellent and have a strong command of English in addition to Japanese. They are extremely helpful in everything from calling a taxi (and recommending what size taxi will be needed); to train tickets (helpful to know to go to the correct station!); to advising on mailing packages (offered to accompany me if the desk was not busy). That's quite the level of service!
The Kyoto location had more lobby space and hosted a daily sake/coffee bar; Tokyo just offered assorted teabags so it could be prepared in the room. This Tokyo location is right next to the bend in the train line going over the river towards the SkyTree. As such there are wheels squeaking early in the morning until quite late at night.
It's extremely handy to have laundry in the room, that said the cycle takes about 4-5 hours to complete a full wash/dry and the door cannot be opened mid-cycle. Still, having in-room laundry is much easier than queuing for group laundry machines.
The larger fridge is a great bonus to hold drinks and snacks; we didn't, but the kitchen was equipped for cooking.
The apartments are large and comfortable and a great setup for families/groups. Highly recommend. In Tokyo we had a lovely view of the SkyTree (very cool at night!)

GreatStayed with kids
We booked 2 bedroom suite with table in the living area. Decent space in the suite by Japan standards. It was comfortable for 4 adults. Ceiling was very low but I think that's the standard in Japan. Very clean. Microwave and utensils & cutlery were very useful for a quick breakfast in the morning. Washing machine was also very useful addition. There was no iron and ironing board in the room but we got it from reception for the entire stay.
Staff was courteous and helpful (though at checkout on asking just 30 mins extra the lady was not very happy and very reluctantly agreed).
The only issue we faced in the suite was that there was no place to keep our bags and no proper closets for clothes - just an open slot with a few hangers.
Overall a decent place but remember the pictures always look much better than the actual place :-)

FantasticStayed with kids
Our stay at Mimaru Suites Asakusa was nothing short of incredible.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine care that instantly made us feel at home. The team went above and beyond at every step — always helpful, kind, and attentive, making our entire experience effortless and enjoyable.
The suites are beautifully designed, spacious, and perfect for families, with every detail thoughtfully considered. After long days exploring Tokyo, it truly felt like a peaceful retreat we could come back to and relax in comfort.
The location is also fantastic, right in the heart of Asakusa, allowing us to fully experience the culture, atmosphere, and beauty of the area.
What made this stay truly special wasn’t just the space — it was the people. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine kindness made a lasting impression on us.
We are so grateful for such a memorable experience and will absolutely be returning. Thank you for making our time in Tokyo so special 💫
