GreatStayed with partner
It’s a 15 minute walk from the station and there is not much nearby but perfect for visiting the castle. Staff are friendly and the hotel offers a free meal of meat and rice each evening from 6.30pm. There is an onsite bathhouse. Room was a bit small but standard for Japan.

GreatStayed with partner
Really good value, decent sized room per Japanese standard and a good breakfast. Its about 13 min walking distance from the train station and the center of the city but very close to the Matsumoto castle.

Perfect little hotel close to the castle. A little bit further away from the centre which means it's quieter than other places. Rooms were a little small - but all the staff were great! Breakfasts were large - but need to be purchased from the desk. No frills but a great last minute base for our time in Matsumoto

FantasticSolo stay
I would use this place again. It is conveniently located the main attractions and walking distance to everywhere in Matsumoto I wanted to visit. The staff were very helpful! Although the parking here is not free and it’s ¥1,000 per day, when I couldn’t find parking, one of the staff went into the rain with me to help find me find a spot for my car. Incredible customer service. The room looks a little run down but it serves its purpose. Loved that it has a fridge. No microwave though which was sad. Overall, I would recommend and come here again!

Below averageSolo stay
I found a strand of someone else's hair in my bed and black stains on the pillowcase. I had to ask the staff to replace it with a clean one. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.

GoodStayed with partner
Easy checkin and plenty of close paid parking (1000 yen/day). Staff were helpful and several spoke English. The twin room non smoking was small, like many Japanese hotel rooms. We found the beds were hard. The hotel is easy walking distance to the castle and station and other main tourist attractions. Experienced some road noise on the 6th floor but not excessive. The hotel "hot spring bath" was very small. Overall OK for an overnight stay due to its location.

GoodStayed with family
We spent two nights at this hotel. The location is reasonable. Property is nothing to brag about. The room was small, but more importantly, the placement of the bed was such that the second person sleeping on the side of the wall, had to maneuver very narrow space to get out of bed to go to the toilet. The amenities were very limited, no tea or coffee in the room, and the coffee at the lobby was limited to guests who paid for the breakfast.
From entry to our departure, we did not get a very warm, welcoming, attitude from the staff.
