we decided to go snow late and Hakuba village was either stupidly priced or Japanese style rooms with shared bathrooms. after a bit of research found this place, it’s 30 mins by train to Hakuba village station but more importantly is on two snow resort shuttle routes that stop literally at the door to this hotel. the room wax small but comfortable the bathrooms have a low ceiling so if you are over 6’5 it will be tight and the breakfast was very limited for western tastes, but a great supermarket 5 mins walk away, full sided not Lawsons or 711. definitely worth considering if you are coming to Hakuba area to ski and want to use beginner slopes which are just nearby at Jiigatake.

This hotel is close to Kurobe station. It is new and clean and even has an onsen which is nice. Overall quite leisurely vibe.
