About the event
Wyndham Social, in collaboration with local creative brand ditto ditto and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong, gladly presents "Floral Impressions: An Urban Chronicle," an exhibition that takes visitors on a journey through time, exploring the stories of Hong Kong's Central district on Wyndham Street from the 19th century to the 1960s through hand-drawn illustrations and modern letterpress printing.
Centres around the theme of “flowers,” Nicole P.S. Chan, co-founder of ditto ditto and a local illustrator, will use modern letterpress printing as her medium to reinterpret Wyndham Street’s printing legacy. Meanwhile, Czech illustrator Michal Bačák will use his delicate artistic style to recreate scenes of floral and botanical exchanges from East to West, as well as to showcase a series of floral illustrations inspired by Czech cultural heritage.
