Things to do in Checkpoint Charlie

Met the best tour guide, Anja, who was funny and detailed in her explanations! English tour (I could understand the English she spoke). Although there were no headphones or mics, the tour guide stopped at each point and explained things in a circle. The tour started at 10:30 and had a 30-minute break after 2 hours (that day was a once-in-a-century cold snap in Germany, and Anja took us to a coffee shop to warm up and use the toilet). We disbanded around 3 o'clock, constantly weaving through the city; seemingly ordinary buildings were actually full of historical significance. (It was originally a 4-hour trip, but Anja had so many events to share that it was slightly delayed). After this trip, I understand the city of Berlin even more. I personally watched quite a few YouTxxx travel expert videos, but actually participating in the tour (+ guided tour) was a deeper experience, highly recommend this trip.

The whole complex is huge and really need more time to immerse in that historical period. highly recommended.

The tour guide provides so much details about the German history, although I only have a little idea about what she said, it is still a fantastic one day tour to enjoy the view.

In the morning, wait for the tour guide outside Starbucks. The guide will assist with purchasing transportation tickets to the concentration camp, with fascinating explanations throughout the entire tour. You can ask as many questions as you like, making it very worthwhile.

The kind attitude and explanation were great. They remained calm even when a minor issue occurred. Although it's a somewhat somber place, I highly recommend visiting if you come to Berlin!

Insightful trip visiting one of the main concentration camps. You get to walk through the path the prisoners walk, visit some original buildings, artifacts and also hear what went down the place. the guide was very helpful, speak good English, and we had no problems following. Just bear in mind that there will not be an official lunch break, so pack along some snacks to keep you going!

The guided tour explanations are very detailed, and there are many stops, making it perfect for tourists visiting Berlin for the first time. You can get a lot of detailed information!
