The entire itinerary was excellent, and we're very grateful for our guide Xiao Liu's dedication and kindness. The detailed explanations of Sanzen-in Temple, Lake Biwa, and the Baumkuchen factory made the experience even more engaging.

This has been an informative tour. Thanks to Liu for sharing the knowledge. The temple is so serene, makes me wanna live there 😁 The cakes at Baum factory are scrumptious 💯

Absolutely amazing! Really fun hands-on experience to create a meaningful souvenir (and feel like a ninja for a few hours).

Greta way to see many different temples in day. it was nice , off the super touristy spots and have some nice peace and quiet, while learning Japanese culture and history. very easy transportation to see Kifune Shrine. the cable car ride would also be beautiful in any season. we were there end of Feb and it was a sunny day and the branches were bare, but I could see how it would very crowded in all the other season.

The ride was late due to the passengers before us were late. It was our driver 孟凡哲 first time visiting the locations. There was no guide or introduction for the locations.

My wife and I had the best tour of our lives with our guide, Tom-sensei. He went above and beyond to show us the hidden gems of Kyoto. He took time and effort to explain the history and culture at each of the sites. Tom-sensei made us feel welcomed and respected. Tom-sensei helped translate and mediate during our shopping / touristy activities. The next time we come back to Kyoto we will request Tom-sensei for a tour again!

this was a phenomenal experience. expect a lot of sweat and sore muscles after this, but it is so worth it. You start by choosing what kind of knife you want to make, then head own to the forge where the guides show you how to beat the heated metal to expand it into your knife. They help you through the process (my partner was fine, but I needed a bit more help as I don’t really have any wrist or arm muscle and got tired pretty quick) and help shape it into your desired knife. You’re there for an hour to an hour and a half, then sand your knife down to the perfect shape and sharpen the blade (which I loved). The guides tell you how traditional knives used to be made before the sanding belts they have now, and you get the full experience. The guides were amazing, gave the perfect amount of guidance, and helped with the final steps to make sure your knife was the best it could be. Shout out to Mits and Deiki! I would absolutely do it again, and highly recommend the experience!
