Reviews
Managed to see dolphins and seals during this trip. There were so many dolphins in the sea and the staffs also help to keep a lookout on where the dolphins were so that we can capture the moments. They also offer complimentary drinks and cookie on board.
Overall experience was great. Staff and captain was friendly, we were served with choices of beverage - coffee, tea or hot chocolate, also a cookie when we are on the way back to the wharf. Albie the spotting dog was super cute and gentle.
I recently went on the Akaroa Dolphins Harbour Nature Cruise, and it was easily the highlight of my trip! If you are a nature lover, this experience is absolutely worth it. The Highlights The wildlife sightings were spectacular. We were incredibly lucky to check off the "big three" of the harbor: Hector’s Dolphins: The absolute stars of the show. Seeing these rare, playful dolphins up close was a magical experience. Albatross: We were treated to the sight of these majestic birds gliding effortlessly over the water. New Zealand Fur Seals: We spotted several seals lounging on the rocks, which added a lovely touch to the coastal scenery. A Quick Tip for Travelers It is worth noting that the sea swell can get quite high once you head out toward the harbor entrance. Overall, the crew was professional, the scenery was breathtaking, and the wildlife encounters were once-in-a-lifetime. I can’t recommend this cruise enough!
Best doggo on the boat! They had a good guide around the area and we saw both dolphins playing in the water as well as seals.
The captain's skills are very good. Charlie, the staff on the boat, is very kind and caring about the status of each passenger. He will provide jackets if it is too cold. He will also provide relevant assistance if he gets seasick. He also cares from time to time. Fortunately, we found traces of dolphins soon after leaving the inner bay. , and then took us to see the Elephant Trunk Sea Caves, seals, etc. The natural ecology here is really great. The only thing to note is that people who get seasick are advised to take seasickness medicine first.
the captain provided informative talks and the service rendered by the crew is very good. do note that you will have to spot the dolphins. we managed to see them but how long you get to see it is dependent on the tide and dolphins too
very nice trip, we had a great time! we saw dolphins and seals and salmon farm was amezing!
Great value for the money! The boat trip is about 2 hours, and we saw many seabirds, dolphins, and seals. The captain and staff were very enthusiastic about finding and introducing the animals. Simple drinks and cookies were provided along the way. I highly recommend this trip and the supplier.
The overall activity is very interesting. Before going out to sea, the captain will guide you through the beautiful scenery. Drinks and cookies will also be provided during the process. After leaving the port, you can see dolphins swimming near the hull. For those who get seasick, it is recommended to take medicine first!
This is the best tour I've ever been on! It wasn't just about seeing dolphins. The guide explained a lot (although I couldn't understand everything because it was in English) and we saw seals and penguins up close! The homemade cookies were delicious and the hot chocolate was delicious too!
