[Klook Exclusive Sale] Katsu Umaimonyadai - Seafood & Wagyu Izakaya in Osaka, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, Namba

We went today on a Thursday around noon from our day trip in Nara. we are a family of three and I’d say I would recommend this if you are really hungry because there was a lot of food. We paid about $45 per person and each received so much food. I personally love the grilled shrimp and scallops and squid. I also like the tuna sashimi. There were oysters, beef skewers, beef tongue, yakisoba noodles, takoyaki, grilled abalone. You can also choose to have soda or beer. The service was amazing and fast. What a way to spend our last day In Osaka. I also discovered I am not really allergic to seafood because since I’ve been here in Japan, I didn’t have any allergic reactions to seafood whereas in the US I will be covered in hives or throwing up nonstop. I guess because everything is so fresh. I am so happy about this. Will be back in Japan next year 🙏🙏🙏

Fugu hot pot is a very special experience, but the soup is bland and tasteless, which is different from Taiwanese hot pot.

Drinks can be juice or beer. The skewered shrimps were not fresh. Dessert is rice cake spring rolls with milk, which is very tough and cannot be eaten. The portions are large but the quality needs to be improved.

The place is easy to find. There are many tourists walking by the river. The food portions are very large, and we can't finish it even for two people. We have to pack up one or two dishes to take away.

It was okay. It was my first independent trip, and I didn't plan it well, but Dotonbori was great today. Even though I didn't find the meeting point, I still had a lot of fun exploring on my own.

Delicious food and warm service. I'll definitely eat there again next time I'm in Osaka.

This would have to be the worst meal I've ever had in Japan. We paid $200 for 2 to be served over cooked seafood. The scallops weren't even edible. Kobe Beef was grisly and skewers were chewy. One of the sashimi fish tasted off. I took a bite and spat it out. We were put right in the back of the shop near the toilets. I just think if your spending over $100 a person we should be offered a better table closer to the front as there were many available when we got there.

The ingredients are very fresh, the portions are large, the lady boss is very welcoming, the location is good, right by the river, and the price/performance ratio is high. Recommended 👍👍

loved this experience. that staff explained how to cook and eat the food. there was so much food. I would recommend this at any time. restaurant was easy to find too

Food was mediocre for the price paid. Location of restaurant is great. Good service too though English is limited
