Reviews
Sir Jay and James were absolutely an amazing tandem. Our tourguide is funny and hospitable, while the driving has great driving skills navigating through small streets in a huge van. It was a quick tour and the Mt Tapyas was definitely challenging even with my rubber shoes on. I bought Cashews as pasalubong bc Coron is the main producer of these nuts. The Macquinit Hotspring was just fine. it would have been more relaxing if they have enough and clean comfort rooms. No one cleans it, there’s no flush and they don’t have a shower area - they have an entrance fee so I was expecting there’s some maintenance in the place but sadly not. You might want to wear your aqua shoes if your feet is sensitive because the rocks can hurt sometimes.
Starting at 3 PM was great because I could relax in the morning. At first, the tour was just a church and a souvenir shop, so I was worried I'd joined a boring tour... But the guide took some awesome, Insta-worthy videos during the harbor photo op, which was a lot of fun! I was also lucky to meet some great people on the tour, and I even made some friends! People who don't hike might have some downtime, but it's also a chance to relax. The nighttime onsen was magical, and it was a great way to refresh after the hike. After the tour, they dropped us off in the city, and I was happy to go to dinner with the friends I'd made! I even ran into a couple I'd met on the tour at the airport, which is probably only possible on a tour of a small island. I'm glad I participated!
The pick-up was early, we are 4 pax inside the van, it so nice that we visited all the places with not so much tourists. We really enjoyed the itinerary. The guide is good at taking photos and navigating the coron town tour efficiently. Going up to the Mt. Tapyas was really challenging, better be prepared, and the Maquinit Hotspring is perfect for our tired muscles. We bought some cashew nuts along the way.
The half day city tour was enough to explore Coron. There were places we already explored like the souvenir shop church and the park since our hostel was just near these attractions. The best part of the tour was the Maquinit Hot Spring. My husband and I did enjoy dipping into the waters. It was really relaxing after the climb at Mt.Tapyas. 😁 By the way, Mt.Tapyas was challenging since I was not used of climbing 720 steps. However, it was worth it when you are on top since it is overlooking Coron Island. Better wear comfortable shoes when hiking Mt.Tapyas and a bottle of water since it could be exhausting. As for the Maquinit Hot Spring, it was around 20-30mins van ride but as soon as you arrived there the water is just so relaxing. I wish we could have stayed more at the spring though but it was getting late so we had to head back to our hostel. Our guide Kuya Jay was just very kind and informative as well. Overall, this tour deserves a 5star rating. We love every details of the itine
at the end of the day, it was all worth it! kuya jun, our tour guide was very patient and very understanding. he made sure everyone was safe. he also took a lot of goodnpictures. it was very hot but the sceneries were too good to miss. we enjoyed everything, but the souvenir shop was expensive. we highlighted the maquinit hot springs which everyone in my family enjoyed. the Mt. Tapyas hike was incredible! it was a great exercise actually. i love that there was free water, it was not enough though, thankfully, there were stores nearby where we can buy. lualhati park was nice as well, great views. it was lovely habing to visit St. Augustine Church first in our itinerary. overall, we enjoyed our trip.
The tour was well-organized, and everything ran on schedule. Our guide was informative, sharing interesting insights about the town that made the experience even more enriching. Our favorite stops were the cashew factory, Mount Tapias, and the hot spring. The tour had a relaxed, slow-paced vibe, allowing us to truly take in the beauty of Coron. We learned a lot about the locals and got to enjoy some of Coron’s best offerings, including the breathtaking view from Mount Tapias and the soothing seawater hot spring. We’re so glad we opted for the tour instead of going on our own—it was completely stress-free!
The main highlight is Mount Tapyas. While the climb can be quite tiring, it’s definitely worth it for the stunning views at the top. This is an excellent activity to do if you arrive early in Coron, as it doesn’t take a whole day and gives you a great introduction to the area.
Kuya guide is so patient with us. He gave us a tour and then eventually let us do our stuff during the Mt. Tapyas hike. The view is very stunning. A must try tour. Would definitely book it again once back in the island.
Appreciate the immediate response to my inquiries. The driver and tour guide are very protective of our belongings especially when we climbed up Mt. Tapyas and while we took a swip at Maquinit Hot Springs. Would appreciate if the tour guide provides insights on the places we went around.
it was a fun adventure. although climbing mt. tapyas was a bit tiring, the view from the top is very rewarding. the hot springs was also something new and very good way to relax tge muscles after that climb.
