Gal Oya National Park Boat Safari

Set out on a private two-hour boat safari across Senanayake Samudraya, Sri Lanka’s largest reservoir, in Gal Oya National Park. Cruise past forested islands and submerged trees while searching for swimming elephants, mugger crocodiles, primates, wild cats and more than 150 bird species. Surrounded by grasslands, evergreen forests and roadless hills, this unique safari offers a peaceful way to experience one of Sri Lanka’sleast-visited national parks. Departures are available daily at 6:30 am, 9:30 am and 3:30 pm, with early morning and late afternoon offering the best wildlife sightings and photography.
