What to expect
Immerse yourself in the world of authentic Japanese green tea at Ikeda Senchado, located in Kagoshima’s lively Tenmonkan area. In this hands-on workshop, learn to make and taste matcha step-by-step using traditional tools such as a tea whisk (chasen) and tea scoop (chashaku), guided by friendly staff.
Prepare your own bowl of smooth, beautifully foamed matcha, then relax in our stylish, newly renovated Japanese cafe and enjoy your creation alongside a tasting of premium Kagoshima teas.
Discover the rich “UMAMI” and unique flavors of Kagoshima green tea, paired with traditional Japanese sweets from the region.
