South Mauritius: Spice & Heritage Experience with Tastings

Step onto a family's ancestral land in the south of Mauritius and discover the way of life our grandparents knew.

Your visit starts with a welcome herbal tea, followed by a walk through our living spice garden, old traditional kitchen and heritage museum, where you'll see real belongings from our grandparents' lives — including our grandfather's harmonium and our grandmother's sewing machine and charcoal iron.

Then it's your turn: hand-grind your own masala on a traditional volcanic ross cari stone, just as generations of our family have done. Finish with traditional tastings at the family table, and take home a 50g pouch of the masala you ground yourself.

This is a small, personal, family-hosted experience — not a big tour group.
