Guide
- Guilin Mao'ershan is located in Xing'an County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its main peak reaches an altitude of 2141.5 meters, earning it the reputation of "the first of the Five Ridges and the peak of South China." It is not only an important hub connecting the Yangtze River and Pearl River two major water systems, but also the source of beautiful rivers such as the Lijiang River and Zijiang River. With its stunning high-mountain natural landscape and rich ecological resources, Mao'ershan has become a coveted summer resort and scenic paradise for many tourists and photography enthusiasts.
- The natural scenery of the scenic area is extremely charming, preserving large areas of primeval forest, and even growing the precious Southern Hemlock, a tree species left over from the Ice Age. Mao'ershan has its unique charm throughout the four seasons. In spring and summer, rhododendrons bloom all over the mountains like a sea of flowers, while in winter, there are crystal clear rime spectacles. Climbing to the top of the mountain, visitors can also enjoy the magnificent sea of clouds, spectacular sunrises, and beautiful sunsets, as if they are in a fairyland among the clouds.
- In addition to its stunning natural ecology, Mao'ershan also carries a rich historical and cultural heritage. It is not only the location of Laoshangjie, the first high mountain crossed by the Red Army during the Long March, but also preserves the crash site of a US military aircraft during World War II in its rugged primeval forest. Tourists can choose to take the scenic area's sightseeing bus to easily go up the mountain, stay overnight in a guesthouse on the summit, and immerse themselves in the natural shock and historical echoes brought by this highest peak in South China.
