The Ancient City of Jiaohe

Jiaohe Ancient City is located on the west side of Turpan city. It was very prosperous during the Northern and Southern Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty. Later, due to continuous wars, the ancient city was abandoned and became a ruin. It is currently a relatively complete urban relic. The ancient city is divided into parts such as temples, residential areas, and government offices. The buildings in the ancient city are all made of rammed earth, which is very distinctive. Today, this spectacular yellowish-brown ruin also has a special sense of historical vicissitude, suitable for photography. There is no clear route for visiting Jiaohe Ancient City; you can simply stroll, admire, and take photos within the scenic area.
