Fukuoka Shiraito Falls & Itoshima Coastal Day Tour

After reading reviews from other customers, I noticed many mentioned that the tour guides were local Japanese. So, this time, bringing my children to Fukuoka, I wanted to try a tour truly led by a local, and I ended up choosing this Itoshima day trip. Our guide, Mr. Tokunaga, was very friendly. Along the way, he shared local stories about Fukuoka and Itoshima. Before arriving at different attractions, he even played music that matched the local atmosphere, giving us an immersive feeling even before we got there. This thoughtful detail was much appreciated. Small group tours are much more convenient for families with children, as they offer direct hotel pickup, eliminating the need to walk to a meeting point. The itinerary was also very flexible; Mr. Tokunaga even proactively helped us add places that weren't originally scheduled, depending on the day's situation, which was a pleasant surprise. The car was clean and comfortable. Itoshima has fresh air and beautiful scenery, and we didn't feel rushed, making the trip much more relaxing. Most importantly, the price wasn't much more expensive than larger group tours, but we got to enjoy the comfort and flexibility of a small group. I truly feel it was worth it. Today is a special Day! Our family wanted a flexible itinerary, so we allocated a larger budget and chose a small group tour. Coincidentally, the travel agency arranged for our entire group to be from Hong Kong, exactly ten people, including both elderly and young. A tour van, larger than a seven-seater, became our helper for the day, so we didn't have to take a tour bus. We were fortunate to have Mr. Sakaguchi, a Japanese tour guide, assigned to us. Surprisingly, communication was not an issue at all, as he spoke excellent English and Mandarin. He also introduced us to local cultural experiences, making it a truly in-depth tour. The time management was appropriate, with just the right amount of time at each attraction, allowing us to avoid crowded places. He also paid attention to convenient pick-up and drop-off points for the elderly. Pick-ups and drop-offs were at each family's hotel. We are very grateful for this thoughtful arrangement and sincerely recommend it to everyone.

Our main concerns were whether the itinerary would be too rushed and if there would be too much walking. After actually participating, what impressed me most was how reasonable the itinerary was. There was ample time allocated for stops at Shiraito Falls, the beach, and Futamigaura. It wasn't a case of just taking a quick photo and immediately getting back on the bus; my parents could walk and look around at their own pace. Another point is that we weren't on a large bus this time, which made getting on and off much more convenient. Getting in and out of the vehicle at each stop was very easy, which made a huge difference for us. The driver's attentive service also put us at ease. My parents needed time to walk, and the driver was always mindful of this when we got on and off the bus. We could also communicate directly with him if we had any questions along the way. Throughout the day, there was no pressure to rush through the itinerary. A small group tour is perfect for family outings, as you don't have to constantly adhere to the meeting times of large groups. It also allows family members more flexibility if they want to take photos or spend more time enjoying the scenery. My biggest fear was that my parents would be tired by the afternoon, but after returning to Hakata Station, they still had the energy to go out for dinner and shopping! So, if you're bringing your parents or elderly relatives to Fukuoka, I would highly recommend this type of small group tour. It's not about seeing a lot of sights; it's more important that the whole family can comfortably enjoy the day. We were very satisfied with our Itoshima trip, and I'd also like to thank the driver for his careful attention and patient waiting throughout the journey.

Every stop on the trip was well-planned and fulfilling, with enough time to explore each attraction on our own. If we needed information about a sightseeing spot, Mr. Chen would explain it in detail! This trip really highlighted the benefits of a private car tour, allowing us to enjoy the unique scenery and culture of Fukuoka and Itoshima along the way. A perfect five-star trip! The company arranged a private tour for just the two of us, picking us up directly from our hotel in the morning. Our driver, Mr. Chan, not only drove safely but also acted as our guide, introducing attractions and photo spots along the way. He allocated ample time at each location, allowing us to fully enjoy ourselves. He even took us to an extra new attraction at the end. I highly recommend this one-day tour. This time, our Itoshima trip coincided with a hotel transfer promotion, so the owner drove a luxurious seven-seater car directly to our hotel to pick us up. This saved us from having to rush to Hakata Station early in the morning for a meeting, which was incredibly convenient! We were arranged for a small group tour (only HKD 417), and for the entire day, we deliberately went in the opposite direction, completely avoiding other tour groups. The itinerary flowed perfectly! We visited Shiraito Falls, Forest Coffee, UOVO (which I heard is a newly added influencer hotspot), Totoro Forest, and Meoto Iwa all in one go. The time spent at each spot was just right, so we didn't feel rushed. The overall experience was truly fantastic!

My favorite part of the Fukuoka trip was this day tour. I got to enjoy nature, visit unique cafes, and check out popular attractions. Our guide, a Japanese gentleman (Fukuda-san), was incredibly patient and took special care of every guest. (Where else can you find such a great guide? I originally thought Itoshima was just for seeing the sea, but I didn't expect the entire trip to be much more exciting than I imagined! No need to drive yourself, no need to research transportation; you can easily explore Fukuoka's most beautiful coastal scenery in just one day. From the moment we first met our tour guide and driver, Mr. Sakaguchi, we could tell he was a very thoughtful person. He speaks fluent Chinese and clear, easy-to-understand English. Every detail was perfectly arranged, and he always made sure to point out the restroom locations, which was very considerate. We had ample time for activities at each attraction, and he provided plenty of information along the way, allowing us to learn about the places before we arrived. What was particularly special was that before reaching each attraction, he would play appropriate music, immersing us in the atmosphere of that place, which was incredibly relaxing.
