You can exchange your tickets right outside the station. Choose the 'A' package ticket, which includes the initial cable car ride, followed by the second section on the 'carletor' (a charming mountain train), and finally, the most thrilling single-person chairlift (though there's no seatbelt, it's very safe). After that, you can dine at the revolving restaurant. Be sure to go to the highest point to ride the sky bicycle (300 yen per person). It's absolutely worth it!

This is a very unique and nostalgic amusement park. The aerial lift, the slope car, the monorail bicycle, and the sightseeing ropeway without seatbelts (where you have to hold on with one hand and let your feet dangle in the air) are all must-do activities at Sumaura Sanjo Amusement Park. Also, don't miss the revolving restaurant, where you can savor delicious food while enjoying 360-degree views of the scenery below the mountain.

The park is next to the Sanyo Electric Railway. The ticket exchange counter is right outside the gate, and the cable car is nearby. Unfortunately, the package does not include the cable car ride to the mountain across, and the amusement facilities on the other side require an additional fee.

Overall, the experience was good. Because it's not near the city center, the round trip by car took almost 3 hours. 🫣🫣

Located at the top of the mountain, this amusement park offers spectacular panoramic views. You can see Suma Beach, the cityscape of Kobe, the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge, and even Awaji Island.

The park is filled with unique rides. Take the ropeway up the mountain while enjoying views of the sea. The Carlator is a “basket-style ride” that gently rocks as it moves, providing a one-of-a-kind experience that’s very popular. The sightseeing lift allows you to travel from mountain to mountain while enjoying the natural breeze and scenery. The cycle monorail lets you pedal through the air for an elevated stroll—offering the best views in the park.

There are also mini cars and playground equipment for young children, making it a hit with families.

At the Rotating Observatory, you can relax with a drink at the Cosmos Café while taking in a 360° view (one full rotation takes about 55 minutes).

The park also features nostalgic jukeboxes and game machines, making it a rare spot where you can experience the charm of a Showa-era amusement park.

Easy Access: The park is conveniently located just a 30-minute ride from central Kobe. Get off at Sanyo Electric Railway’s Sumaura Park Station, and the park is right there.
