What to expect
Welcome to the unique Macau Grand Prix Museum!
As the birthplace of the Macau Grand Prix, you will relive the extraordinary history of this unique event and personally experience the excitement and thrill of motorsport. The museum houses decades of racing cars and motorcycles, telling the story of drivers, teams and legendary figures who have written brilliant chapters in Macau since 1954. Years of motorsports moments have converged in the 21st century to bring you an unparalleled and comprehensive experience.
The Macau Grand Prix Museum under the jurisdiction of the Macao Government Tourism Office officially opened on June 1, 2021. The expanded museum has four floors, and the total construction area has increased six times to approximately 16,000 square meters, providing visitors with knowledge, entertainment, leisure and learning experiences related to the Macau Grand Prix. This reconstruction project has won the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification for new buildings (architectural design and construction category).
In order to further increase the museum’s attractiveness and enrich the visitor experience, the Macao Government Tourism Office cooperated with Madame Tussauds Hong Kong for the first time to exhibit the wax figures of 8 well-known racers at the Macau Grand Prix Museum from March 27, 2023. Among the 8 wax figures, 5 were specially made by Madame Tussauds for this collaboration, namely the wax figures of Macdonald, Haslam, Rutter, Huff and Mortara, while the wax figures of Senna, Hamilton and Vettel were recast.
