Fukuoka Departure - Saga Autumn Foliage Tour~
Depart from Fukuoka and embark on an immersive Saga autumn foliage tour, connecting five distinctive spots, full of autumn charm.
The first stop is Daikozenji Temple, which has a history of over 1300 years. The temple’s architecture has a traditional Japanese style. The ancient temple’s red maple leaves and centuries-old buildings complement each other, revealing the tranquility of autumn in the Zen atmosphere; move to Kunenan, where maple leaves are laid out in the courtyard, matched with Japanese garden landscaping, and every photo taken is a poetic picture. This place is only open to tourists during the autumn season~ Kunenan Open Dates: November 15 - November 30. Kunenan is not open on other dates, and you will go to Nibi Shrine instead.
In the afternoon, head to Yoshinogari Station to experience the historical atmosphere while encountering the maple scenery dotted around the station, take a short break and replenish your energy;
Then go to Mifuneyama Rakuen Park. Mifuneyama Rakuen Park is located on the western foot of Mt. Mifune in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, Japan. Mifuneyama Rakuen Park in autumn is a famous spot for autumn leaves. With Mt. Mifune at an altitude of 210 meters as a distant view, the 150,000-tsubo garden is covered with layers of red leaves, presenting a brocade-like autumn scene intertwined with red, orange, and yellow.
Finally, arrive at Yūtoku Inari Shrine. The Yūtoku Inari Shrine in late autumn is a famous autumn spot in Saga Prefecture, Japan. The red maple leaves are like fire, which complements the continuous red torii gates. The ancient trees reach the sky, and the stone steps are winding. The sunlight洒 through the maple leaves, making the entire shrine as poetic and picturesque. Tourists can feel the beauty of the fusion of history and nature here and appreciate the unique autumn scenery.
Around 16:30, start the return journey to Fukuoka, bringing the trip to a perfect end.

Reviews
I recently went on the Kyushu Foliage Tour and had the pleasure of being guided by Thomas. From the very beginning, Thomas was caring, helpful, and entertaining. His sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable! We were fortunate to see the stunning red leaves at all four locations, and each stop was more beautiful than the last. Thomas is not only knowledgeable about the area but is also fluent in English and speaks several other languages, which added a personal touch to our tour. The driving was smooth, even with some Friday traffic, thanks to our skilled driver. Overall, the tour was well-organized and a great experience. I would highly recommend Thomas to anyone looking to explore the beautiful foliage! We would definitely do this tour again.
Very well organized tour with a passionate tour guide - Helen. It was already passed the peak season for fall foliage so everyone in the tour group decided to skip Mifuneyama Rakuen. We ended up spending more time at Yutoku Inari Shrine and hiked up to the observatory which was well worth the climb. The lunch at the resting station was better than expected.
I participated in the Saga autumn foliage one-day tour on 11/27, and the overall experience was very good. The tour guide, Helen, was very kind, and her explanations of the attractions and routes were quite clear. The main thing is that the autumn foliage was very good, and I took many satisfactory photos.
Great trip to see autumn foliage. Expect a lot of walking. Overall great experience. We were able to see must see locations within the itinerary provided.
The itinerary is packed and rich, and it might take two days to see everything on your own using public transport. The value for money is really high! Daxingshan Temple and Mifuneyama Rakuen are picturesque, while Kyūnen-an is a bit overrated. It's crowded and small, so it would be better to spend more time at Daxingshan Temple. There's just not enough time to see everything there. Guide Emily is exceptionally nice.
The whole experience is so breath taking and all the places were all significant to the autumn season. Thank you so much!
The maple leaves are in better condition than expected. Mr. Xiaoshi's service quality is excellent, with professional explanations and timely concern for the members. It's great, and I look forward to meeting Xiaoshi next time.
Koshi, the tour guide, provided appropriate suggestions along the way, and the entire itinerary was well-arranged. We saw many beautiful maple leaves along the way, making this day trip very worthwhile.
I was very satisfied with this trip to see the autumn leaves. The attractions were well-arranged, and the itinerary was compact. I must say that the service provided by our tour guide, Ms. Zhang Qing, was extremely satisfactory. She constantly provided explanations on the bus, ran around before and after us at the scenic spots, personally accompanied us on the tour, and was always responsive to our requests. It was arguably the best tour group I have ever participated in, bar none.
The itinerary for this day was amazing! We went to many attractions, but we were given enough time to stop and admire them. Our tour guide, Mr. Sun, managed the time very accurately. The scenery at each attraction was beautiful, and it would have been difficult to get to them without driving ourselves. The tour bus was also comfortable. Thank you for giving us a pleasant day trip. Kunean Temple may have been a bit disappointing because our expectations were too high, but the nearby shrine was very beautiful.
