What to expect
When someone says Chengdu, there's generally one thing that comes to mind: pandas, which are native to Sichuan. Visiting the pandas in Chengdu is often at the top of people's travel bucket lists—and on this tour, you'll get to tick off exactly that on your own list. You'll explore the Chengdu Panda Base, a non-profit research and breeding facility founded in 1987. It boasts the world's largest captive panda population and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in China. Walk along its beautiful and expansive bamboo garden to see about 80-100 pandas scattered around in different sections. Witness the iconic giants eating and playing in a habitat that closely resembles nature, and feel the respect the centre has for these protected animals. Admire the beautiful bamboo hedges and other ornamental plants, too, and see the peacocks, swans, and other birds, as well as colorful butterflies, that also make this place their home. If you want to see a Chinese icon and one of the world's favorite endangered species, then this tour is for you!

Our guide was very informative and allow us to enjoy the Panda at our time and leisure. The ride to and from the Base was excellent too (in a continental SUV).
We had a blast at the panda research center with our guide, Sheldon. Sheldon was really helpful and informative, he even gave us suggestions of places to visit in the city. The pandas are very sensitive to the crowd so we were very lucky to be able to see so many pandas🐼 If you need an english guide and someone to navigate the research base skilfully to avoid the big crowd, Sheldon is the guy to look out for! Thank you so much!
This tour was awesome. Our guide picked us up in the hotel right on time in a nice & comfortable sedan (it was just two of us in the tour) with a very friendly driver. Our guide Teresa was very kind and accomodating, and gave us a lot of insights on the pandas and Chengdu. She also pointed out the best spots to better view the pandas. Though this was just a panda tour, she gave us reccomendations on other places to visit and food to eat in the city. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to see the pandas, as there were plenty around the park. Get there early to avoid the crowds.
Our tour guide name is Carol, she is very friendly and really helpful. First she take us to see panda and we are lucky because we can see kungfu panda at the beginning after that there is there is beautiful red panda and the last one black swan. We really enjoy our tour. Mantap jiwa!!
This is an important landmark in Chengdu and it was wonderful to see over 15+ pandas (small and large) during the visit. Our guide contacted us a few days in advance and informed us of the meet up time. On the day, she arrived very punctual with our designated driver. Throughout the visit, the guide provided regular, interesting information and answered our questions thoughtfully. She also knew her way around the base so well, finding quicker paths and identifying best spots. Overall, a nice experience and we were well taken care of.
Our experience was great. The guide (Charles or Yang) contacted us the day before to make sure we knew the exact pick up hour. He was on time and he was during the whole tour very nice and with a great attitude. I totally recommend this tour and make sure you ask for Charles or Yang!
The tour guide was late for 2 hours but had provided a decent guide and explanation during the tour.
Sheldon is the best guide!! There are many people and they took me to the most important places in the huge panda base. They made me meet Hwa-hwa, who said I had to wait for two hours to enjoy it, without standing in line in an amazing place. Even when serving to a visitor, he carefully informed me of the restaurant and the route. Thank you for making the best travel experience possible.
