Introduction to Yoshidaguchi Climbing Route of Mt. Fuji This trip chooses the most popular “Yoshida Route” among the four major climbing routes of Mt. Fuji. First, take a bus to the fifth station, and then start hiking from the fifth station to the top of the mountain. Please note that the summit location is limited to the top of the Yoshida Route. It is not possible to go to the highest peak on the other side (Tsurugi, 3,776 meters above sea level).
Features of Yoshida Route The Yoshida Route starts from the “Fifth Station of Mt. Fuji” and merges with the Yoshidaguchi Climbing Trail at the Sixth Station. There are rest and accommodation facilities, Komidake Shrine, etc. in the area around the Fifth Station. The atmosphere is lively and there are many tourists. At the Fifth Station, you will change your equipment at the “Fuji-Qyu Unjokaku”. Since the outbound and return buses are different, please leave the items you don’t need to carry in the coin locker or manage them properly by yourself. Usually we will gather and depart 30 minutes to 1 hour after arrival. You can prepare and eat freely before departure.
Mount Fuji hut (short-term stay, dinner, breakfast lunch) You will stay in one of the following huts. You cannot specify it in advance. The tour guide will inform you on the day:
- Hakuunso (8th station/3,200 meters)
- Gensoshiro (8th station/3,250 meters)
- Fujisan Hotel (main 8th station/3,400 meters)
- Goraikokan (8th station/3,450 meters)
The hut is a group stay, and quilts or sleeping bags are provided. There are no bathrooms, showers, or sinks Each hut has a sales department and toilets, and also provides commemorative services such as burning stamps (for a fee) There are no changing rooms, so please use the toilets and other places to change clothes. Breakfast lunch is usually collected when entering the hut
