First, we will visit Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the joint tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and Empress Ma, and one of the largest imperial mausoleums in Nanjing. You will have the opportunity to explore the winding and secluded tomb passages, admire the magnificent main buildings of the mausoleum, and experience its solemnity and grandeur. Afterward, we will head to Meiling Palace. This palace-style building was once the residence of Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling. Its unique architectural style and exquisite interior furnishings make it an important place to learn about modern Chinese history. Here, you can admire Soong Mei-ling’s private collections and experience that period of turbulent history. For lunch, we will provide you with free time to enjoy lunch within or around the scenic area, and experience Nanjing’s authentic cuisine. (Expenses at your own discretion) In the afternoon, we will continue our visit to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. This is the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the great pioneer of democratic revolution, and one of Nanjing’s iconic buildings. You will ascend the steps, visit the Bo’ai Archway, tomb passage, mausoleum gate, stele pavilion, sacrificial hall, and burial chamber, experiencing its solemnity and reverence. The plane tree avenue along the way is also an excellent spot for taking photos, allowing you to create beautiful memories.
