Xi'an, Shaanxi Specialty Hanfu Cultural Experience Hall (Hanfu rental + optional Hanfu experience with makeup and styling + optional 1-hour outdoor photography with Hanfu experience + diverse and exquisite clothing + high-quality service)

It was a pretty typical Hanfu rental place. The dress, hair, and makeup were all good quality. The photographer also did a good job, but it isn’t mentioned in the listing that the basic package only includes one photo, and you need to pay extra for the rest. It wasn’t super foreigner friendly since no one spoke English and they didn’t seem used to dealing with foreigners, but they tried their best to be accommodating.

This was a bit disappointing for a couple of reasons: 1. Not all of my head was covered by the fake hair, especially all of the front. This was photoshopped black in my final pictures, so you couldn't tell. They did not do this to anyone else in the shop. Nor did I ever see anyone like this, out of the hundreds of people i saw doing hanfu. Embarrassing. I felt they were just too busy and I actually looked stupid walking around like that. 2. I had 5 photos included that would be professionally touched up. This just meant having a filter put over the photos really. The issue was the full on pressure to purchase more photos. The questions why you don't want certain photos, etc, etc, I found very off putting and was really being pressured to buy more. I did purchase a few more but certainly not as many as he would have liked. This really took the shine off the whole experience. As there are so many of these places in all different cities, I advise organising when there.
