What to expect

Put on a light samoi jacket (a casual Japanese kimono-style coat) and receive a unique badge with your name written in Japanese characters.

Relax with tea, juice, or other soft drinks while learning the history and cultural significance of Japanese knives and swords from a friendly Japanese master. Choose the blade you’d like to sharpen from up to five types available (some with a small additional fee) and select your preferred knife size.

Sharpening is a calm, meditative process that requires focus and helps relieve stress. English-speaking staff are always nearby to guide your movements, chat, and offer personalized advice in a relaxed atmosphere.

Finish by engraving your name in Japanese on the handle and attaching it with a traditional hammer to complete your one-of-a-kind knife.
